In all my travels, I have yet to receive the type of customer service that Natacha provided. From the moment I walked through the door until my departure she continued to knock it out of the park. With that in mind and the hotel having all the perks you could ask for. I make this location my hotel of choice when traveling to Calgary. The short drive is 100% worth it for this little gem.

We stayed here two nights at the start of our Rockies road trip. After a long flight into Calgary and a short, easy drive to Aidrie, it was great to get a friendly welcome, a spacious room, comfortable bed and an adequate breakfast. There were plenty of electric outlets in the room including USB points which was good. The location was also convenient for visiting the dinosaur shenanigans at Drumheller, the next day. I've stayed in HIE many times before and would certainly recommend this one or convenience and quality.

After a long day on the road, we were looking forward to a swim and relaxing hot tub but that wasn't possible. We stayed two nights in a king suite but had a few complaints. PROS: This hotel had a recent reno and the king suite was spacious with excellent lighting, nicely appointed and the bed was really comfortable. A clever luggage shelf had enough room to open a suitcase for easy access. Semi-transparent blinds were attractive, allowed the light to get in and would be easy to keep clean. The computer desk was spacious with a chair that was comfy and adjustable. The 48" flat screen TV with HD had lots of channels. CONS: WIFI connection was not reliable and internet seemed slow. The breakfast choices were bland and boring (plain omelette with no filling, sausages one day, sausage patties the next). The swimming pool was cold, only 4.5 ft deep and a ridiculous slide aimed at the center of the deep end prevented any kind of adult swimming. The hot tub had really feeble jets making it a waste of time. Although there were several channels, nothing interesting.

We stayed here after we flew back into Calgary Airport. Its only about 10 minutes up the freeway with easy access from the airport onto Highway 2. I should add that we had our own car that we had left in the Park & Jet. Nice hotel, looks like they have done some upgrades. We had a NS, King with wet bar, fridge and microwave. Nice big room, clean and well laid out. A very decent rate. It is located in a sort of commercial/industrial area and there are no restaurants within walking distance. Near the freeway but the noise level was not a factor. If you want to stay out of the city (Calgary) for shopping Airdrie has all the big box stores and lots of other retail. Costco and a giant outlet mall (Cross Iron Mills) are located just 5 minutes south towards Calgary. A nice hotel for a good price, we would stay here again.

The rates are good. The smell of chlorine from the pool greets you as you enter the hotel and is so strong that you will have a hard time rinsing it out of bathing suits in your room. The internet was dialup speed and there isn't a restaurant within a reasonable walking distance. But hey ... you get your IHG points.

The variety of items available for breakfast was spectacular. The WiFi was fast and consistent. The beds were soft. However, the room was noisy as noise from the hallway entered the room; plus the room doors close very loudly. The design of the rooms was beautiful and very modern.

We stay in this hotel when we are in the Calgary Area. During our last visit a few days ago, we were greeted by exceptional friendly and courteous front counter staff. The room we selected was a standard king bed. We were on the top floor on the highway side. The room was clean, bright and renovated nicely. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I like that each guest has a choice of two pillows, one firm and one soft. The room had thoughtful furniture designed for the traveller. There is a customized place to set your luggage along the wall beside the desk unit. There are two small hooks on the wall over this luggage counter to hang your backpack or shoulder bags. These are small things but they are very much appreciated. Lighting is very good, especially the modern desk lamp. There are plenty of conveniently placed wall outlets. In the bathroom, there is plenty of counter space. Every interaction with the hotel counter and breakfast staff was very courteous and helpful. The free breakfast is very typical for this chain and is adequate and a good value at this price point. We will keep coming back.

This hotel is quite nice. Recently underwent a few lobby renovations. The main thing was that there is not nearly enough seating for the continental breakfast and the breakfast serving room is very small so you often run into someone. We booked adjoining rooms but there was a mix up and we didn't get them the first night and moved rooms the second night to have adjoining rooms. The pool was nice, the slide is very fast so not great for small kids. Overall, this hotel is a great option if you don't want to be in the craziness of Calgary. It is tough to find a hotel with a waterslide and continental breakfast (both of which is a must with small kids) in Airdrie so this was a great option for us.

Chose this hotel to stay at while we attended a weekend concert in Calgary. The distance and time from the site was the same as other options in Calgary. Once we arrived Kayla (i think was her name) greeted us at the desk. She was amazing! She helped us organize transportation to get to Calgary, offering many options as some were high priced. She went above and beyond at check in and for some time after until all was right. She was professional and courteous to us, attentive to her phone calls and to other guests. Some of the best in customer service I have ever seen. Thank you. Everything about our stay was wonderful!

We booked here for 4 nights at the end of our Canadian road trip. Travelling with 3 teenage kids, we had a family room on the 3rd floor with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed and mini kitchen. Beds were very comfortable as expected with Holiday Inn. Only issue was with the aircon which was leaking all over the floor which we reported but never heard whether anything had been done to fix it. Very helpful and friendly guy at check in gave us advice about which train station would be best for getting in to stampede. Nice pool with slide and hot tub, everything very clean. Breakfast was normal Holiday Inn - very busy on weekend. If you're thinking of here for Calgary sightseeing, you're around a 40 minute drive, but easy access with highway 2 right next to the hotel. Also only 10 minutes from Crossiron Mills. Banff around 1hr 40 mins and easy day trip if you enjoy driving (we had already been through Banff earlier in our trip but returned on our last day just for the afternoon)!
