We booked here for 4 nights at the end of our Canadian road trip. Travelling with 3 teenage kids, we had a family room on the 3rd floor with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed and mini kitchen. Beds were very comfortable as expected with Holiday Inn. Only issue was with the aircon which was leaking all over the floor which we reported but never heard whether anything had been done to fix it. Very helpful and friendly guy at check in gave us advice about which train station would be best for getting in to stampede. Nice pool with slide and hot tub, everything very clean. Breakfast was normal Holiday Inn - very busy on weekend. If you're thinking of here for Calgary sightseeing, you're around a 40 minute drive, but easy access with highway 2 right next to the hotel. Also only 10 minutes from Crossiron Mills. Banff around 1hr 40 mins and easy day trip if you enjoy driving (we had already been through Banff earlier in our trip but returned on our last day just for the afternoon)!

Stayed in the 2 bed w/sofa bed room on 2nd floor for 3 nights Beds were comfy, lots of room for 5 of us, kids loved the pool, staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Easy access to lots of amenities and main highway leading to Calgary. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed on the 3rd floor, two queen bed room. Average rooms nothing special. Free breakfast in the morning was okay as well. Microwaved eggs and sausage, pancake machine was a nice touch for the kids. All in all would stay again if driving though.

this is and ok hotel they have a very limited breakfast in the morning rooms and hotel are being updated. I did not have any transportation so had to get a taxi to have supper. would not stay there again for that reason.

So I am giving a 3 instead of a 4 because I was disappointed that my room didn't have a microwave. Aren't these accommodations standard now days? We were able to use the one in the lobby but that wasn't convenient after a 12 hour drive. The room was very clean. And we got a decent nights sleep. Restroom was also very clean and I have no complaints other than the one previously stated. I will however try the other Holiday Inn in town the next time through. If a microwave isn't important and you want clean & quiet give them a try!!

I stayed at this hotel over the May long weekend with my son and husband. After we got to our room on the 4th floor, it turns out we were given only one bed for the three of us (not OK). Fortunately, the front desk staff was quite accommodating and moved us to a room on the 3rd flood with the appropriate sleeping arrangements. However, we were not informed that there was a block of rooms on the 3rd floor reversed for a children's hockey team. Kids were running around in the hallways, screaming, yelling, knocking on doors, etc. The hotel's noise policy went right out the window and seemed not to apply. Unfortunately, the hotel seemed to be accommodating the hockey team more so than other guests. Be sure to ask if large groups of kids are staying.

Reno currently underway. We stayed in refurbished room. Temporary lobby being used - around back and into a tunnel you will find check in - not well marked. Breakfast not avaliable in hotel but we were told to use a special card to access neighboring hotel breakfast area - we didn't. Lukewarm shower at best. Cheap furniture. General uncomfortable feeling. Do not recommend, better options in area. Good point- bed was comfortable and room was quiet.

Very friendly and nice staff! The room was very nice and clean. The bed was super comfy. My 6 year old loved the large swimming pool and hot tub! There was renovations going on during our stay but it did not affect us at all ☺ Highly recommended.

I stay here often for business. Staff is friendly and the rooms are well cared for. Enjoy the pool area, but it's needing a bit of a refresh (peeling paint, etc). The hotel is undergoing renovations which are almost complete. New rooms are nice, and the beds are comfy. Will be nice when we don't have to go next door for breakfast, although it was tasty.

We visited Calgary in August 2017 and wanted an affordable option close to the city. The location worked well as it was a short drive to down town and the zoo. The breakfast had your typical options and was great for the kids - enough options for picky eaters. There was a hockey thing going on and so it was very busy. The pool was busy but our kids enjoyed playing with the other kids. There were no issues in the evening. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and clean. The only thing that was difficult was parking on the first night - We had to park in a further away lot that didn't seem part of the hotel because there was just no room. Other than that, staff were friendly and helpful. Great place for families.
