The building is frightening. The stairs of filthy, full of debris, unlit, graffiti, broken down doors . . . Yes, there's a small elevator to the 5th floor where the rooms are located but beware. The rooms were excessively loud. The breakfast was unsatisfactory and coffee was near impossible to get. I get this isn't the staff's fault. Having said that, I left two nights early because of the building and other issues. I was told I would get a refund but they never followed through, unfortunately. Orbitz indicated that they wouldn't answer their phone when they tried to work with them to follow-up on my refund. The conclusion? Orbitz said that "because they wouldn't answer their phone" they could not issue a refund. That seems illogical - wouldn't it be the other way around? If the establishment wouldn't answer their phone, shouldn't that be a red flag. Book elsewhere and be safe.

Mostly the staff communications. I stayed there 5 days and 4 nites out of which the water to the room was messed up for the first 3 days both in terms of temperature as well as the flow. As a result me and my wife could not shower for the first 3 days. Could not get the story straight from the staff whether the problem was with their facilities or was it an outside problem with the municipality. I will say that once the water got turned back on the shower was excellent. Also the room was very small. Other than that the Hotel was was good in terms of location and cleanliness

This hotel maintains high cleanliness standards. Everything was well organized. Room was cleaned perfectly every day. The location is excellent in downtown Cairo. Easy to move around the city. Staff were extremely helpful. They provided great customer care. Service was fast and professional. Room comfort was very good. Air conditioning and lighting were ideal. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. Dining area was clean. Wi-Fi connection was reliable. Very good value for the price. I would recommend this hotel to others.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. HORRIBLE HOTEL Hotel was still under construction. We booked for Luxury suite, it was still under construction so they gave option to pick 2 rooms. They showed 3 sets of rooms. Out of 3 sets, we picked 2 rooms that looked better than other ones. Lift did not have a door. We had to manually push open the lift door. there was no message from the Hotel on which floor the hotel is and also and how to use the lift. We tried to use it few times and could not figure out, then another guest showed us how to use it. Hotel is on 5th floor. Rooms have no lockers ,no closets or hangers. There was no heater or AC in the rooms. In one of the rooms, there is no shelf in the bathroom to put soap, shampoo etc. room had some holes and unfinished walls. Breakfast area super small tables. Only 3,4 tables there in whole area. so, we had to wait till the tables get free. One day lift stopped working, I called the hotel they said use the stairs. It was evening time. We took 5 flights of stairs which are filthy and not lit up. I was quite scary. I complained to the manager, they said they cannot do anything about hotel condition but will try to get the lift fixed.

Construction still going on, our room had holes still cut out as if it wasn’t finished. While trying to sleep you can hear the constructing going on, very loud!! The hall ways echo when a door is closed.. I wouldn’t stay again.. also the last part, right before you check out they go into your room and inspect it. They came out with out towels and asked us to explain a makeup stain on one of them.. but luckily it washes off if not we would’ve been charged.. I wouldn’t stay there again

Negatives: Location: Too much vehicle noise from morning 7AM till 11:30PM due to very close to the main market road which busy all the time. Hotel is located inside the apartment on 5th floor so don't expect the entrace like any other hotels. It does't feel that you are statying in hotel. Feel like you are staying apartment hotel. Breakfast: Fixed breakfast like you get in flights, only serves omlet, one cut fruit, Two breads with jam, butter cheese, packed curd, Coffee or tea. No more breakfast options available. Brakfast area is inside the lobby. No proper restaurant area available to serve the breakfast, no kitchen available like any other hotels. The hotel was a good experience from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available. The room was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. My experience at this hotel was very pleasant overall. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and quick with the check-in process. The security presence is clear and made the stay feel safe and well managed. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a short stay in Cairo. Housekeeping was consistent, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. One of the best things about this hotel is the location. It’s in downtown Cairo, close to shops, cafes, and main attractions, which made moving around very easy. The hotel also offered organized tours at good prices, which saved us time and money. For the price, the hotel offers great value. It’s a good choice for travelers looking for convenience, safety, and friendly service. I would consider staying here again in the future.

The place is truly beautiful from the inside and very well designed. The interior is elegant, modern, and carefully maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The lighting and decoration create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything feels organized and thoughtfully arranged. The common areas are quiet and pleasant to spend time in. The cleanliness standards are excellent throughout the property. The ambiance makes you feel relaxed as soon as you enter. It is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy your stay. We booked for 2 nights in this hotel. There was no sign that we saw outside or at the entrance indicating where the entrance was. We had to asked the people. The hotel itself is ok, but the problem was the reception is on the 5th floor. And it happened to be that the elevator was not working when we arrived during our first day. So we had to drag all our luggage by ourselves to the 5th floor to a VERY dirty and UNSAFE spiral staircase, there were broken steps (tiles). So if you forget something and you already outside (Like we did), you’re going to have a workout. And be very careful going down or you’ll find yourself tumbling down the stairs. The elevator was fixed the next day. It will only hold 3 people and STAY AWAY by the entrance because there was NO DOOR. We decided to transfer to another hotel (without any refund) the next day even though they already fixed the elevator. The hotel staff and the facility is ok but I can’t recommend this hotel because of what we experienced.

There was not a stay at Viaje. Upon arrival, I walked up 5 absolutely disgusting sets of stairs because the elevator wasn’t working. I was greeted by a man wearing a “Valencia Hotel” shirt and repeatedly told me he wasn’t the receptionist. He called someone else and made me speak to them on the phone so they could look up my reservation. In looking around, I noticed that the space for the hotel was not finished AT ALL! There is no spa, no place for breakfast, etc. I still asked to see the room (despite feeling scammed) so he showed me a room that was not even close to the suite I booked, nor was construction finished in the actual room. Maybe in a few months, it’ll be as wonderful as they’ve advertised but as of this week, the hotel doesn’t even really exist besides a sign downstairs.
