Good clean hotel, polite staff, good but slow service, no gym in opposition to their advertising , great restaurant in upper floor, great breakfast buffet . Good area with lots of interest points. Good stay!
I first visited the hotel seven years ago and was surprised to find myself there again. The standards have fallen a bit and my room on the 3rd floor was soooo average overlooking the road of the entrance to the hotel. The rooms on the 7th floor are much better and cost the same at the time. Ask for a room facing the Nile if available. The breakfast was rich enough for someone on the go and the chef fries lovely eggs! It is in a busy area with a Pizza Hut opposite and a KFC round the corner. THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL TO ME and I cannot overemphasize that and their are policemen with guns in front of the hotel for security. We (me and my colleague-male&female) were able to walk around the area at night without any feeling of fear. Just be careful as you would be in any cosmopolitan city like london and Newyork. Would really have enjoyed staying at the Cairo Marriott but it was fully booked and just a bit more expensive so all in all the Flamenco was good value for availability and budget.
The location is very centrally located in Zamalek. It's just a few minute walk from many cafes, galleries, boutiques and has amazing Nile views from some of the rooms. The downside is the internet feels like dial-up in 2001, and logs you off every few minutes. You also can't use more than one device at once, so its difficult to do work at this hotel if you need to. It's incredibly slow and unreliable and can be quite frustrating if you actually need to use internet. The bar is a nice location to have a cheap beer after a long day, but the bar food is not great. I ordered some chicken wings that may or may not have been chicken heads, and though I complained (in Arabic, no less), I still was charged for the food I did not eat. The breakfast hall is nice, the selection of food is decent, with many breads, an omelette station, cheeses and slices of meat, cereals and milk. The coffee is also good. The hotel's air conditioning is good, the bathroom shower pressure is very strong which is nice as well. Not a quiet hotel as it's near a couple mosques, the nile and busy streets.
Short stay for business in this hotel well located in Zamalek. Friendly staff , we occupied a clean and spacious room having an amazing view on the Nile. Breakfast is good. We enjoyed walking along the Nile ....
Stayed in the Flamenco Hotel and my room had an amazing view of the Nile river and the city skyline. The room itself was great, nearly 5 star and the food was very tasty too. Would definitely love to stay here again!
That was our second time in Hotel Flamenco and we enjoyed our stay. The service is excellent, the rooms clean and the people are friendly and very helpful. The bar is a good place to meet, the restaurant is calm with a nice view on the Nile.
First time stay at hotel in Cairo sieves very bad hose keeping desisting bathroom grawting very boor f&b the breakfast you can't eat there is no variety and the servers there is poor even the staff they work like they are worked in street I can't request this hotel again
The hotel is average. Service was quite good price wise. Its in a residential area, not easy to find. View is not good at all, However there are many restaurants near (1 min walking) the hotel beside the lake. Good place to hang out and see people pass by. Many arabs go to these restaurant and have shisha. You will find many embassy near the hotel and few bars as well within walking distance. However the hotel, room, breakfast is very average.
Very good location, clean room, nice breakfast, not expensive, parking next to the hotel so you can park your car easily, Everything is great in flamenco hotel Highly recommended, i cant wait to visit flamenco again
This hotel has a great location in the middle of cairo, close to everything touristic, like the pyramids, the cairo tower and the nile. Room is ok the bathroom was broken but they fixed the problem really fast. Breakfast is ok and the beds are comfy. The room was really close to the street so there was noise and traffic even at 3am because this city really does not sleep, plus there have a police that you can't have guests in your room and that was really annoying that you can't even invite a friend for a cup of coffee i was surprised and amshamed. Other than that, if you're travelling for touristic purposes, this hotel is cheap and close to everything.
