Small nice hotel. I was there for 27 days. Didn’t have a fitness center but everything was good

Overall hotel is located in a great location. Close to Nile river and supermarket as well as restaurants. Breakfast had many options. Ran out of hot water one morning probably because many guests were using it at that time. Plan your showers.

The partial view of the Nile, was just a glimpse out a dirty window, past a dirty building towards a construction site. The wifi was terrible, not really working although there was a signal. Select what you wanted to view go brush your teeth and come back and it might be 50% loaded. Worst of our three weeks in Egypt. Staff was nice, but the room was a shoe box compared to what we received when we paid the same rate in other hotels in Egypt. Keep looking.

The best location in Cairo (Zamelek, a relatively green and quiet central neighborhood), and great value for money. The hotel could use a sprucing up, but everything was clean and proper, the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the hot buffet breakfast (included with our room rate) abundant, varied and good. There is absolutely no need to pay big-hotel-chain prices for a nice place to stay in Cairo.

The location is in Zamalek, which is an upscale neighborhood. The breakfast is very good. Close to many restaurants.

This hotel is located in a good location very close to the nile. There is a Spanish restaurant in the 10th floor overlooking the Nile & West Cairo. The breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were very friendly. There is a 24 hours internet cafe right across the hotel. Bank & money exchange is also a few steps away. The only negative thing that I can mention is the morning prayer at 4:10 A.M. from the nearby mosque which I could hear in our room, but this is very common with many hotels in Islamic countries. My guide told me that there were almost 1000 mosque in Cairo with a population of 18,000,000. I guess ear plug is needed. We had the same problem in Istanbul too.

I arrived in cairo quite overwhelmed. after my great view fromthe 7th floor with my own private balcony...hands down would recommend anyone who has a moderate budget to stayhere.

The Golden Tulip Flamenco Hotel was exactly what we needed after 2 weeks touring down the Nile. First of all I would highly recommend staying in Zamalek area of Cairo and definitely stay at the Flamenco. The rooms were very large and clean with a sitting area. We had a great view of the Nile. It appears that they are renovating the rooms, ours was redone, the bathroom spotless and new, it was a great experience. It was also nice to be able to walk outside and not be bombarded by people to buy something. The area is also nice and quiet with some great coffee shops to hang out in. Great location with some fabulous restaurants and shops nearby where you won't get ripped off, European feel. The staff also were fantatic, we came from the train station, needless to say very early but they did their very best to get us a room asap. The staff was friendly teaching us a bit of Arabic every morning, overall I would highly recommend this place of serenity in a place of chaos, love Cairo, love Flamenco Hotel!!!
