I stayed here for a few nights before and after a Uniworld River Cruise and found the hotel to be very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, as others have noted, and the beds very comfortable. I had a river view room with a large balcony which was great. The staff were all very nice. I enjoyed my meals at Bella (the Italian restaurant) and the Pool Grill. I did not have a good experience at the Upper Level (the restaurant/bar overlooking the pool area). I thought the service there was not very good and they charge a minimum in the evenings which I thought was too high.
The staff was excellent. They were courteous and helpful. I felt comfortable and at home. I enjoyed the roominess of the room. The holiday decorations were exquisite. The security to enter was surprising but quick and easy.
The hotel is beautiful and has an excellent location overlooking the Nile. The restaurants and bar are excellent. The indoor and outdoor pools are very clean and nice. The gym and spa are also very clean and offer great services. Our room was nice and had a beautiful view of the city. My only complaint was upon our arrival at 6 PM we were told our room was not ready and to wait in the lobby. 1.5 hours later when the room was available the hotel did not offer to pay for something to eat or drink. When we finally got our room there was no effort to upgrade us or do anything complimentary to acknowledge this fact. This was and continues to be a disappointment.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of an intensive 11 day tour of Egypt. It was by far the best hotel we stayed in during this trip. Amazing room (Great bed!), fabulous service, loved the breakfast buffet every morning, great view of the Nile! Wish we could have stayed longer. The security was impressive and welcomed by us. Front desk staff and guest services (concierge and bell captains) were especially impressive; we arrived exhausted and somewhat grimy after touring all day and we were welcomed with open arms. We highly recommend this hotel as an oasis in this overwhelming city.
stayed there for 10 days everything was beyond excellent starting from service to food to hospitality. View of the nile river was spectacular! Buffet was great! try to Othmanleya and Umm Aly.. both to die for!
The room overlooked the Nile River and was quite spacious. They provided bottled water since you can't drink the water in Cairo unless you are a native. Buffet food was really good, and they were so accommodating when we requested boxed meals to go.
We stayed at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza for one night, en route to Luxor. The hotel has a perfect view over the Nile. Make sure to get a Nile View room. You won’t regret it. As with most top end hotels in Egypt, security is pretty good, which is reassuring. Staff are good, the rooms are up to the usual Four Seasons quality etc. The breakfast buffet is huge and to a good quality. The only downside? Check-in and out takes ages. They need to have better trained reception staff, or a lot more of them. Oh, and one more downside ..... smoking is allowed in the lobby so the air can get noxious.
The Four Seasons Hotel Cairo is gorgeous! The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The decoration is warm and tasteful. The view of the Nile is spectacular! The beds are heavenly. The staff are attentive, professional, and gracious. Breakfast is sumptuous. I wish I could have stayed forever!
Overall the servuice is slow and not friendly. The hotel is okey but not a Four Seasosn quality. The sap and pool areas are okey. The service in the restaurants is very slow. The quality in the food is very good. The bruch is excelent!!!
When looking up hotels for Egypt, I became reluctant about the trip because I didn't see any hotels I wanted to stay in. I'm a bit of a hotel snob and very picky about where I sleep and eat. I narrowed down to two hotels, and based on the reviews and pictures, this was not one of them. My fiancé booked this one anyway, and I'm so glad he did! First, everything in Cairo felt very secure and safe. There's security checkpoints everywhere, including entering the hotels. Tourism is their economy, and they want us to feel safe. When you enter the lobby, they have the fresh, amazing floral arrangements that all Four Seasons hotels do. We checked in, and they upgraded our room to a Diplomatic Suite for my birthday! Amazing! Two bathrooms, a living room, large walk-in closet and a huge balcony overlooking the Nile River. I was very pleasantly surprised because the pictures online and even on the Four Seasons site did not do this hotel any justice. Again, I'm very picky! The hotel looks much more updated than the pictures online reflect. Also, I see a lot of comments about smoking, which a lot of people in Egypt do, but I didn't smell cigarette smoke at all during my stay. The service was top-notch and everything you'd expect from a Four Seasons. Everyone is extremely nice and accommodating. Again, tourism is their industry, so every person you come in contact with goes above and beyond. The food was good, not amazing. This didn't take away from the hotel for me at all though because it was our first stop in Egypt, and I didn't know what the food was going to be like. The only thing I would for sure pass on is the breakfast buffet. The room service breakfast was much better in my opinion. The location is also excellent to walk around and hit he town at night if you want. We had enough energy after touring the sites to head out one-night. We walked a few blocks to a roof-top bar.
