Staff is trying their best to make the guest happy. Love it, and it is very convenient location to get to the mall without going to the street. Breakfast is amazing. Smoking is allowed indoors, where we do not like. so it is considered cons.

it is an amazing and wonderful hotel.... the staff is very nice . everything is all right. i advise anyone to visit this fantastic hotel you will be enjoyed. wide places. clean pools . delicious food .

This is a very good hotel with many good features. It is in a good location not far from the airport and to the downtown areas as well. It is modern hotel with Egyptian style. The rooms are quite spacious and well equipped and wifi connection was very good. There is a large pool area and a nice outside bar area. It also has a health club/spa with good equipment and massage and other relaxation services. The breakfast buffett is very good with many different selections for both western and eastern tastes. It gets quite crowded when there is a tour group in the hotel and the one problem is that the egg omelet/scrambled chef gets overwhelmed and the line gets rather long waiting for your choice. They could provide a for scrambled or fried eggs in their heated plans along this hot food area. The service is very attentive by the staff and they recognize you from day to day. There are plenty of restaurants in the hotel to choose from for lunch or dinner. The Lebanese and Egyptian restaurants are very good. They have different dinner buffets during the week in the Esplanade restaurant. Getting an ice cream smoothie with mango on the balcony overlooking the pool is a nice end to the day. The only strange think I had in my room was that the shower area was not partitioned off from the rest of the bathroom. So, when I took a shower all the water would run over the bathroom floor. I had to put some shower towels down as something of a barrier to keep the other areas from getting wet. The hotel is also connected to probably the largest mall in Cairo. Huge number of high in shops as well as places to eat. Was surprised at the number of western establishments that are located there such as McDonalds, Burger King, Fuddruckers, Starbucks, Coldstone Creamery and others. This is a good choice for staying in Cairo and will offer about everything you want.

The room was excellent, service was good, their food very taste. I will stay here again for next coming. The Front Desk very helpful, communicative and make sure everyone here enjoy the Hotel. Bravo. Keep it up!

I stayed at the Intercon Citystars for 6 nights on a business trip. The last time I stayed in it was probably a year ago and I was very disappointed from the rate of decline it went through. To start with, food quality has dropped significantly. This is probably due to the high inflation Egypt is going through which basically increased cost of virtually everything but still is not an excuse to use lower quality material in the hotel’s food. I ordered room service 3 or 4 times and different plates each time but the quality was consistently bad and food was tasteless. For instance the burger was filled with soya instead of pure beef to lower its cost to the hotel, it just tasted like cardboard! On service front, housekeeping consistently left things in the room without cleaning (cups, plates...). While I was checking out, there was only 2 staff members on the front desk and a whole load of people waiting, they were very slow in processing check outs.
