Colleagues recommended this hotel for its proximity to where we work but also for its comforts, security and meal options and they were spot on. Language was never an issue and the ambiance felt like a nice hotel in the US. We ate at a different hotel restaurant each night and they were all good. Mall next door is an added convenience. Room was very clean with all of the normal amenities.
Hapi was the Nile god. Honouring a god was very important, so when a flood came the Egyptians would thank Hapi for bringing fertility to the land,The Nile River is the longest river in the world. The Nile has a length of about 6,695 kilometers (4,160 miles
Great place for an amazing dinner. Stunning service and marvelous seafood buffet. Thank you Napa Grill for making my dinner a unique experience! Thank you Mr. Ahmed, Mr Francesco and Emad for this amazing experience
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after our Nile cruise. The hotel - it is a huge hotel on the Nile corniche. It is an upmarket, luxurious hotel. The decor is modern and elegant. Reception - Upon our arrival we were assisted and then escorted by a charming young man named Sameh Gamal to the Fairmont Gold Lounge. We were warmly greeted by Nancy at the lounge who checked us in and then escorted us to our room. I noticed that Nancy and a colleague were whispering as we we leaving and this only made sense upon us arriving at our room. The room -We had booked a Gold Signature Room which included club lounge access and we were generously upgraded to the spectacular Nile Suite. There was a beautiful cake, chocolates and biscuits on the table for our birthday and anniversary celebrations. This is what all the whispering was about - it was part of the surprise with the room upgrade. The suite was amazing. There is an entrance hall, open plan lounge, dinning room and study, a huge bathroom with enough closet and luggage space, and the luxurious bedroom that has panoramic views of the Nile Every comfort is catered for in this suite. There is also a complimentary mini bar with water, juices and soft drinks. And a Nespresso machine for coffee lovers Fairmont Gold Lounge - The space is beautifully decorated in deep, rich colours. The space is open and bright with spectacular views of the Nile. The only snag is that the smoking area which is on the upper floor is not closed off and this is offensive to non-smokers. The food and snacks were beautifully prepared and of very high quality. There was quite a variety as well. The service was excellent. Each staff member was engaged and willing to assist in whatever way they could. It was wonderful to be around smiling faces. They even assisted my husband in acquiring two books on Egypt that he had been looking for. We really enjoyed hanging out in the club lounge and getting to know the amazing staff. They created an environment that was warm and friendly. The leader always makes the difference to the service and the assistant manager, Mahmoud Abd El Sattar, must be commended for his leadership of his staff. The Spa - this is an oasis in the craziness of Cairo. You are transported into a world of beauty, peace and serenity. The jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and rain showers were indulgent. The relaxation areas were peaceful. Use of these facilities were complimentary. The pool - there is a rooftop pool which is heated and covered in the winter. There is also a pool for children. The area is well serviced and there are also 2 restaurants on that level. It is a pity that the pool closes at 5pm in the winter - extended hours would be welcomed to enjoy the pool after a long day of sightseeing. Napa Grill - we could also have breakfast at this restaurant in addition to the club lounge - which we did. There was quite a variety of food. We preferred the ambience, the service and the exclusivity of the club lounge. We arrived at the Fairmont Nile City as strangers but we left as friends with some of the most remarkable people in Cairo. Thank you Mahmoud Abd El Sattar and your amazing team - Nancy, Ibrahim, Alaa Goma, Fathy, Saeed, Mariam Auf, Ahmed Saad, Moustafa Mohamed, Ahmed El Bana, Azza - for making our stay at your hotel so memorable and for the delicious tray of oriental sweets that I carried with me through Customs in Egypt, Dubai and Johannesburg. We look forward to our next stay with you.

Always and every time I visit this wonderful hotel I increased the conviction of the quality of my choice by finding the comfort, high-quality services and the hotel's facilities with variety of options also the warmth deal with Fairmont golden team leading by Mr. Abdulhamed
one of my favorite things was the Lebanese restaurant. The food was delicious like nothing I’ve ever tasted. it also has an indoor casino , access to the mall and a nice gift shop which is overpriced by sells unique pieces I wasn’t able to find elsewhere. For your convenience there is a currency exchange ATM in the lobby. you can stay inside this hotel for days and never run out of anything to do .They have a beautiful indoor pool, only downside it closes pretty early. While Fairmont has always been my go-to hotel around the world one thing I did not like was the shadiness of the valet. They were no better than the solicitors at the airport. Every time I walked outside I felt like they just saw dollar signs! I Didn’t expect that type of behavior from a Fairmont property. The Magic number with them was always $20 USD whether you were going two miles away or 20 it was $20 I didn’t understand that . how did the distance not affect the price??? I’m sorry in Cairo that is way too much !! We arranged airport transportation using the hotel concierge. I would not recommend doing that. the business they work with has very scandalous drivers and unfortunately we gave our number to one of them so he could “help us “around town and he ripped us off further. I guess that’s our fault. But He should not have put us in a position to make us feel bad for him like he desperately needed our money by bad mouthing his employer and discussing his hardships. Besides our transportation issues I would recommend this hotel based on the nightly rate, value , distance to tourist attractions and all the amenities offered. Just be smarter than we were with car service and valet.
We stayed here for 4 nights ( 2 then another 2)while touring Egypt and could not speak highly enough of the service and quality of this hotel. By far the best we have ever stayed at. comfy beds beautiful pillows huge full bath and wet room shower with great views of the Nile. We only had 2 small issues. First On our second visit was noise from renovations above which was rectified quickly by moving us to another floor. the other was the price of alcoholic drinks in the lobby bar compared local restaurants. be very careful you are prepared to pay for what you want. Otherwise the snacks and food was great at the bars
