Good as a whole , clean , and excellent location but there is some defects like : 1 - they put free water bottles only in the first day 🤔 . 2 - Must change all bed sheets and pillows for the new guest . I can give this hotel 7/10 Thank you
as a quiet suburb, Heliopolis now is considered a main part of Cairo, and very busy. The staffs and are cooperative and the rooms are clean though it is an old place with an old amenities. I have stayed there for two days and it’s like going back to decades. Thanks
We arrived at midnight at the hotel only to realize that we will not be allowed to stay there because our marriage certificate was not certified by the government!! We had never faced that issue before anywhere in Egypt, this was the first time ever. We explained to the staff that we traveled all over Egyptian cities such as Cairo, Luxor,Aswan,MINYA with absolutely no issues but they still turned us away. So disappointed at such treatment.
Very good hotel for stay in Heliopolis near to Cairo Airport, one side of the building has a Baron palace view and the others have open city view, very clean rooms, very good staff, good restaurant with high quality food
Interesting place as it is like stepping back to the 80s. Seems like it'd be a good place to stay as it is in busy Heliopolis but set back so it's quiet. The palace across the grounds looks amazing. Pasha bar - beers about £2, cocktails £6. Lots of bar snacks though humus very peppery and the nuts and breadsticks salty. We were almost deafened by the singers who performed - the management became quite concerned but they seemed to like the very loud music - you couldn't talk over it.
Stayed for 10 days. Was clean, quiet and I felt very safe. In a good and safe district with a few good restaurants close by. Close to the centre about 10 minutes by car. Also quite close to The airport only paid 6 euro for The taxi DRIVE. The reception was very helpful.
I work as cabin crew and I see many hotels in my travels. This one is quite unique. On the upside the sheets are white and fresh and the staff are friendly and courteous, from Ahmed at reception to the porters, all just lovely. But there's much that's lacking in this hotel. The hotel needs a complete upgrading, fixtures and fittings along with the furniture is extremely outdated and shows real signs of wear, the curtains that were at one time white are now dark grey and need washed. Fixture fall off the walls in the bathroom. The shower head in the standard room didn't work to shower you. It just all seems old and shabby and it's not clean. If you like a brick hard bed then you might enjoy your stay here. There's really too many things that are lacking. The manager Mohammed Fathys customer service skills leave a lot to be desired. I was delighted to have my room upgraded to a suite on arriving. I asked if I would be able to stay an extra night and I would pay that on departure, and that was agreed. I was called on the last evening by reception to tell me I must move rooms back to a standard room. This was after a long day sightseeing and was very inconvenient. I was told I was given the upgrade because they didn't have a standard room when I checked in but they had one now so I had to move. Later I discovered I left my shampoo in the room and asked to go back in. The room hadn't been cleaned for the next guest so I imagine it wouldn't be done until the next day by house keeping? Where was the sense in moving me at that late stage? Mr Fathy was the manager that orchestrated the change of rooms. Bad attitude to your customers Mr Fathy, tsk tsk! There's so much I could say but I'll finish on this. Just a bit of advice, when you order room service, for diner, late, please don't phone your customers at 02:00 to ask for your tray back. It makes them a little upset. I'll let you decide for yourself if I will stay here again or not lol! There's got to be better in Cairo for the money than this?
A Quaint Elegant Hotel - attractive, comfortable, and the staff was excellent. Helpful, friendly, the reception desk staff were very friendly, and they resolved a booking problem very expeditiously. Tried the breakfast it was well staffed replete with American traditional foods and as well as foods intrinsic to the Egyptian customs. The crepes chef was eager to accommodate my request for basted eggs (Sunny Side up with white topped yolks, not runny). Also great raw honey and powdered sugar for my Polish ancestoral preference. Coffee was smooth not bitter. Yet the savory dishes were scrumptious. Most Hotels, you think you want to eat out, and for variety of atmosphere maybe you do, but for the sheer variety and price built in, the breakfasts are wonderful, yet the lunch buffet is so good you want to pay the purchase price. Eman Khatab the Restaurant manager is very proud of his restaurant as he well should be. The cleaning staff were very attentive to the cleanliness and tidiness of the room, I left my things out an none were disturbed. The courteous bell hop was great, fluent in English. The talented registration crew were friendly and outgoing. The room was pleasantly comfortable and roomy. And the exchange rate $US TO EGYPTIAN£ POUND made this hotel a real 5-star bargain! Osama Kassim runs a very hospitable and professionally managed and maintained oasis in Cairo, Egypt.
This hotel has a wonderful view on the Baron Palace. Its location is on the middle of Cairo(near every thing bus station, metro station , several roads ) The food tastes very good but they need to produce more varieties especially in dinner.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is Perfect with seeing Al Baron Palace. Place itself feels pleasantly comfy and cozy. The Patisserie's chocolate is sooo delicious. Furniture is a bit old.
