Stayed here for four nights over Easter and was very happy nice room on tenth floor with sea view to die for. Check out the flying foxes going by at dusk from roosting to feed at sea, sit on balcony with cold drink, perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. There is a useful ice machine with buckets in the corner of the lobby. buffet breakfast covers pretty much all needs. I had steak and chips on room service one night which was awesome. Some content to fridge would have been good. Restaurant closed one night of my stay, not for religious observance but to save costs I was told. Not good for place in this league, but there are restaurants nearby, although I wouldn’t recomend them. Overall good value in great location.
Spent one night here transiting between Brisbane and Green Island. We were super impressed with everything here. From the moment the doorman greeted us from the taxi, taking our bags to the room to the minute we checked out I could find nothing to fault our stay. Room was nice, pool area great and location close to the reef jetty and wharf area very handy. For the price, you get so much value. Will stay here again if ever in Cairns again.
Hotel is not grand but it is a decent value for the money and the location, which was pretty close to everything you'd want to do in the city. Stayed three nights and hotel was packed with tour groups the entire time but not too noisy or annoying. Standard room with two single beds reminded me of a college dormitory room (in a kind of nostalgic way, actually) but was clean and comfortable. Bathroom had the brightest light I've ever encountered in a hotel - and my gripe is usually that the bathroom lights are too dim for doing things like make-up application. I would suggest they install nightlights. Staff was polite and professional. Overall, a decent experience.
Nice hotel over looking the park ,water and casino.Good amenities gym and pool. Happy Friendly staff .Very nice buffet breakfast Great variety of food and drinks. Shops, beach, casino, restaurants and public transport close by.
The hotel claims to be 4 star however not the level of cleanliness that you would expect. After checking in and getting to the room you start looking around stains on the carpet which is wet underfoot with no attempt made to dry it which leaves a damp smell, red marks on the walls. You then open the fridge and see what can only be described as the half masticated remains of an Indian meal. Hoped this would be removed the next day.. but no still 2 days later it was in full residence Not to mention that the light switch by the door also does not work Now on to the building work.. the hotel is undergoing some maintenance not a problem you would think informed at checkin that it takes place between 9-5 and we'll be out most of the day.. 7 AM the drilling commences! So in summary if you would like 2/3 star hotel at 4 star prices book here.. if not avoid like the plague
The Pacific Hotel is on the edge of central Cairns, within easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping etc. Rooms are good, modern, well appointed. Staff helpful and friendly. Our room didn't have a great view, maybe that's just bad luck. On site self service laundry, which is a strong plus point on a long trip. We were there on Australia Day, and surprised to find the restaurant shut in the evening. I understand it's a public holiday, but most of the surrounding restaurants were open for business (and did very well), and this is a service industry!
We stayed during Christmas time and had experience. Hotel room with ocean view was amazing and had 360 view of ocean. Rooms are massive big and clean. Staff is cooperative. I believe this hotel is value for money
Room was spacious enough. Location is fantastic. Can walk to restaurants or out to the harbor where the reef cruises take off from. Breakfast buffet was bountiful. Beds were a bit too soft for my liking.
This is a very nice hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and very convenient. They also have laundry on site, both service and do it yourself. Good value in teh hotel restaurant.
This hotel could not be positioned more perfectly. It is a nice 5 min walk to the marina where all the excursions leave from. It is also very close to shopping and good food. The hotel itself is nice, clean, spacious, with good amenities: $1 beach towel rental, free WiFi, AC, mini- fridge in rooms, hair dryer, etc. The only complaint I have is their mattresses are very uncomfortable. They are very firm so sleeping was less pleasant that I would like. That being said I would still recommend this hotel.
