Charming, convenient, accommodating

After staying at the sister-hotel in Salta, we knew this Cafayate hotel would be lovely. This courtyard and dining areas were delightful, and the room was clean, sizeable and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the responsiveness of the reception staff. Particularly, we were grateful for the staff's flexibility finding us a room for an extra night when a road closure elsewhere in Salta Province resulted in our need to extend our stay for a day.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate me when my phone crashed and I lost access to communication and navigation tools. With beautiful rooms, a beautiful property, and a great location, I can't recommend Villa Vicuña in Cafayate enough! They also have a sister hotel in Salta.

Easily a favorite

A charming location in wine country with the "downtown" within easy walking distance. The service was great. Amenities were great. Eggs and fruit available by request at breakfast took the standard Argentine breakfast to a higher level. Street parking adjacent to the facility was free and easy. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel. Highlight is clearly the location - 1 minute walk to the city center (main plaza). Rooms could use a face lift, but ultimately it was just fine and very comfortable beds. Extremely helpful staff and front desk can usually speak english.

Clean and comfortable

The hotel will not accept the USD rate on the booking on to a credit card. One has to pay in pesos on a credit card attached a rate they decide (and this is not Xe.com). So you will end up paying 7-8 USD more per day than your hotel.vom rate. Be warned. If you want to pay cash USD, then you will need to pay 30 USD approx EXTRA per day. Not worth USD 140 per night Breakfast is limited. Close to town centre.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place

Great location, just off the square. Beautiful house, absolutely spotless and really helpful staff. The room was a bit dark as it looked out onto the courtyard so only had doors not windows but this was not an issue and it has really comfy beds, a good bathroom with lots of hot water and was just really inviting. They served a lovely continental breakfast with everything fresh and the service was exceptional. A fabulous place to stay

My second stay at this hotel in three years. It is located a half a block from the central square in Cafayate. Rooms are very well appointed, clean, safe and comfortable. Nice central courtyard. Good breakfast. Lots of parking on the street out front. Can't say enough good things about the staff. They go out of their way to provide information, directions to wherever you want to go, help you if you need to find something like a drug store, etc. and all of their restaurant and vineyard recommendations were excellent. Would definitely go again. Definitely recommended.

A great place to stay in the heart of wine country

A wonderful boutique style hotel with very kind and gracious staff. Centrally located but very quiet. Don't miss going to the Wine Museum a few blocks away.
