Stayed at this hotel in Normandy for 2 nights. It's in a nice location in the center of town. No parking at the hotel but available on the street (meters) or public garage. It's comfortable and the breakfast buffet is reasonable, although not spectacular. If you arrive in Caen by train, I would not ...
This hotel was exactly what we needed for our family. It was clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. It isn't right downtown near the city center but all 4 of us walked to that area without a problem. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. There is a market ...
The garmin told us we could not drive our car to the hotel, and legally, I don't believe you can. You have to drive over sidewalks, bike paths. Nice hotel. Just plan on getting there by bus or train and you will be fine. Seriously, driving is a very serious challenge.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Caen, this hotel is in a nice location. Ample parking is nearby and there are a lot of bars and restaurants within a 15 minute walk. I stayed there to be within a reasonable distance of the Normandy beaches and to watch Euro2016 matches at night. The room was clean and spacious and the hotel was very quiet. After traveling to Utah and Omaha Beach (Sainte Mere Eglise was a 45 minute drive from the hotel and the longest distance away), we had dinner in Bayeux. The town seemed a bit cozier than Caen and was very pretty so take a look there too if your goal is to see the battlefields. However, this hotel was more than I expected and I would stay there again if I ever travel back to Caen.
Hotel wasn't as central as I thought. It was within walking distance of the main street with shopping. The hotel is renamed the Hotel de Luxemburg. Hotel has 2 buildings and I think we were in the building that use to be the Brunville. It rained really hard while we were there so post rain everything in the common area smell musty. The room did not so our stay was not overly affected. If I went again, I would try to find another/better hotel. This one worked for the 2 nights we were there.
Hotel is very close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful.

It's comfortable and the breakfast buffet is reasonable, although not spectacular. If you arrive in Caen by train, I would not recommend the walk if you have luggage. It looks relatively close on the map, but it's about 20 minutes on some irregular sidewalks. There is a tram that runs from the train station to a point about 2 blocks from the hotel.
