Chosen for its location we were not disappointed, once we had played the parking game in this picturesque fishing village turned tourist magnet. We arrived well ahead of schedule but our luggage was taken to our designated room with assurances that it would be ours within minutes and we saw one of the proprietors step in to speed the bedmaking. This simple, straightforward approach was reflected in the fresh white decoration and provision of good basic requirements for an overnight stay. Our room on the 1st floor had a balcony overlooking the port and daily bustle but was quiet enough to give us a good night's sleep in comfortable beds. The walk-in shower could be copied by many hotels that imagine they are superior. The sensible position of the wash basin, outside the toilet cabinet, was another practical solution to that often experienced morning ablutions delay. We have no hesitation in wishing this well led family a long and happy future while they offer such excellent accommodation by their hard work and attention to detail.
Helpful welcoming staff. Freshly renovated room with nice bathroom & a small balcony giving views towards the waterfront & main square. No breakfast available on-site but a block away is a good cafe/bakery Es Fornet who serves food & coffee all day. No noise from adjoining rooms, double glazing & air conditioning
If you think "hostel" means sharing a dorm with ten drunk backpackers .. no!! The rooms are stunning. We paid just 63 euros low season (May). Hola! to Pau and Elisabeth thanks for being brilliant hosts ..sou uns cracs!!
Great place to stay. The owners are super friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, near the square and beach. Our room was small, with two single beds and a bathroom, but very clean and very quiet. Air conditioning was nice to have. Finding the hotel isn't the easiest, at least not with our version of Google maps. Best to drive down the main road towards the beach and statue of Dali and make a hard right before the t-junction at the beach. The road to the hotel doesn't even look like a road as it cuts through the square on the edge of outdoor restaurant dining. Easy to unload outside the hotel and then park in a paid lot about a 5 minute walk away, or try your luck with free parking on the street. We are already planning for visit back there next year, but will stay longer than one night.
Everything was super clean, white and neat. We had a room for 4 people and it was enough space. The staff was nice but could have been more helpful at times. Overall everything was great, especially the location and simplicity of our stay.
We asked to upgrade to a room with a balcony and were delighted that one was available. The room was comfortable and clean. It had one of my favorite features--electrical outlets on both sides of the bed (for phone charging). There was also a room safe. The bathroom was a good size. The staff were wonderful and offered excellent suggestions for restaurants. The location cannot be beat--just steps away from the sea and several restaurants and shops. In spite of the activity outside late at night, closing the window sealed out the noise. Highly recommend!
After flying into Barcelona we spent our first night in Spain at Cadaqués at this perfectly reasonable hotel. We were very impressed by the simpatico reception and helpful tips. The room had a view of the bay and was pretty quiet at night. Parking isn’t easy but we were lucky to get an unlimited time slot near the front of the hotel. Would be happy to stay again. It’s a good hotel in a lovely corner of Spain.
We had a very pleasant stay at Marina, it is very well located, next to interesting restaurants etc. The owners were very helpful when we extended our stay a few times. The rooms are comfortable, good bed, and most installations are new. Very clean all over the place. There is some noise from the streets at night, but it goes with the excellent location. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
Some reviewers are using the wrong word, "hostal" is Spanish for a small hotel with bar and restaurant. And inexpensive apparently, decent price. Located just off the beach at the confluence of two roads at the top of the bay. Clean, quiet when you close the shutters and windows. I thought the crowd had left the square because it was dead silent in the room but they were still going strong at 1am. It's a basic room without any bathroom counter space, great for a night or two. The Internet didn't work in our room so I went to the lobby. When I mentioned it to the day manager (possibly an owner), he said they had never had any complaints. But he checked and one antenna was offline. Screaming fast after that correction. My point is that they are big on service. Local restaurants apparently give preference to their reservations, have the front desk make them for you. I'd go with a 2nd floor room with balcony. Not as far to walk up the narrow staircase with luggage. And go for a higher number, the lower numbers are near the stairwell and get more traffic and minimally more noise.
We spent two nights at the hotel. It happened to be when the Catalonian citizens were striking because of how they were treated during voting times on 10 October 2017. There was nothing open in the area in terms of food or services but our hosts warned us in advance and bought enough food and drink to store in the refrigerator in the room to supply picnic food all day. The hotel has been beautifully modernized, we had a room with a small balcony looking toward the bay. The rooms were clean, the beds good and the price was right. I would recommend this hotel when you visit Cadaques.
