We had a really nice stay at The Byron. Our room was nice and clean. With a great bathroom. The only issue was the location of our room made it difficult to keep the shutters open with the people walking past. We really enjoyed drinks and meals beside the pool. A really nice menu from drinks and a light snack. Only downside was we would have loved to have a pastry and coffee in the morning their. Front desk staff were very helpful throughout the trip.
First time at this resort and it didn’t disappoint. The backdrop of the forrest from the Restaurant, terrace and pool is stunning. The villas are lovely and set amongst the boardwalks and tree tops. Attention to detail is evident everywhere and the Spa is amazing with a qualified and caring team. We attended a special dining event on our first evening titled Two Chefs and a Butcher, the resort put on a splendid evening, the food, the decor and the service was impeccable. The only real surprise for us during our 4 day stay was how many children were staying at the resort, every villa is a one bedroom, however lots of families were also staying. I can’t wait to return for a winter retreat
Great and relaxing resort for our stay in Byron Bay. We stayed in Cypress building with a modern design spacious room. It was pretty much like a one bedroom serviced apartment with large bathroom and living room. Surrounded by the rain forest, it was very relaxing to hear the natural sound such as frogs, trees and rain. The room was perfect for our stay, clean and comfortable. The hotel crews were friendly, always helpful whenever we needed buggy or other services. Swimming pool was small but great to use when it was not that busy. We tried the restaurant's meal and it was great too. I would say the rain forest environment was simply awesome! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars was because of the resort's location was approx 10 mins drive to the town. The resort provides shuttle service to the town (only 3 times a day) and airport shuttle. We had a car so it wasn't a problem to us but it may be troublesome to those without.
The rooms are well equipped with enclosed balconies on each end allowing flow through of air. All rooms are the same size. The rooms basic and superior are two levels with the superior rooms are on the top, with both rooms looking into the rainforest. Very quiet and well appointed rooms. Rooms are a short walk to the pavilion, pool and restaurant. The rooms with spa are a long distance away from the main resort requiring a long walk or a buggy ride to the pavilion. Offer of complimentary yoga is a nice touch and is suitable for all levels. Breakfast which you can include in room cost was very good. A drive to get into Byron, but taxis and Uber’s are readily available. Beds very comfortable
Very nice hotel in the rainforest. Sadly we had awful weather during our stay but still enjoyed it. Very nice apartments with kitchenette, living area, bedroom and bathroom. 2 covered balconies to sit on so bugs cant get to you. Lovely walks and Tallow beach is stunning. This hotel is out of Bryon Bay ( thank goodness as it is so touristy) so you need transport to get there. Hotel run a free shuttle which you can book onto. Did not use the restaurant but it looked very nice if somewhat pricey. Lovely pool too.
We spent three nights here as a get away. Our Superior room was spacious and cleverly designed. The rain forest vista was lovely. Bed was comfortable, shower worked well and the room was very clean. Mobile reception was poor and the wifi slow but we were supposed to be relaxing. The first evening we dined in the restaurant. It was such a beautiful evening and sitting on the outdoor terrace, we felt our stresses and strains seeping away. The food was OK without being outstanding, and the wine list had a couple of gems. Breakfast was satisfactory without being outstanding. Sitting around the swimming pool on our second day was also very relaxing and we enjoyed having drinks and snacks on the terrace that night. The staff were a little variable, with most infected by the relaxation bug being sometimes vague and mostly operating on Byron time. All in all an enjoyable few days and it is good to have identified somewhere to go to relax.
My partner and I stayed at The Byron @ Byron Resort for 11 nights and it was amazing!! We got upgraded to a Superior Suite on arrival which was very spacious and clean. It was very convenient having a washing machine in the room along with the most comfortable hotel bed that we've ever slept in! Our package included breakfast which provided a broad range of options. The resort also offers free Yoga classes from experienced instructors. The pool has plenty of sun beds, so we never had any trouble getting a prime spot in the sun. Lastly, the staff are all very polite, friendly and professional. Highly recommend staying here!
This trip was our second time staying at the Byron at Byron and I cannot recommend it enough. Great, friendly staff, beautiful pool, lovely walks, so close to the beach, stunning pool, lovely large rooms... my only complaint is that I had to go home! Thanks again!
My wife and I visited this hotel as part of an Australian ‘Grand tour’. The resort itself was excellent and the rooms very luxurious. The complimentary yoga classes were very welcome after the previous overindulgence during our holiday. We also had the buffet breakfast included in our package which certainly set us up for the day. It had a great selection of cooked food as well as fresh fruit and cereals and cold meats. The pool was very nice and there was plenty of sun beds. There is a beach nearby, which can be accessed from the resort, but it is a 10 minute walk though forest and using some ‘unfinished’ sandy paths that may not suit everyone. Overall though the resort is the highlight of our Australian experience.
My husband and I had a blissful stay at this property. We tested out all the amenities enjoying the spa, morning yoga (which was a proper class), the day beds by the pool before returning to our huge suite in the rainforest. The quality of the food (particularly breakfast) and drinks was excellent. This hotel is not a cheap option but I found it to be worth it. Only downside is that you are outside the town and away from the beach but the shuttle runs a few times a day and local taxis are plentiful.
