Good location and view but the hotel is very old and falling apart. Our balcony door was broken, front door handle broken, air con didn’t work, terrible (and I mean TERRIBLE) shower. Do not recommend

Has potential but my worst hotel experience ever!!

Access to be dropped off is horrible the Uber driver wrecked his car dropping me off because it’s only a one way elevated entrance and you have to reverse all the down!!! Check in process was a disaster they left a new person all alone had no idea what he was doing!!! He kept asking for a 4 digit pin code from Expedia!!!! Anyways he also ended up charging me twice for the room and it was a nightmare to deal with!!! Then got to the room and it was actually pretty nice until we looked and the floors were so dirty it was just nasty to walk around!!! Also we found 2 huge spiders in the room which was very scary and I couldn’t sleep just thinking about it!!! This hotel made my trip to buzios a nightmare!!!

Inaccurate advertising, uninterested hotel staff

We traveled as a couple but booked a triple room, as this room was depicted as spacious with wood beam ceilings and a balcony on Expedia's photos. It cost extra for the triple, but we wanted a beautiful, comfortable room. Upon check-in, the hotel staff led us to a very small standard double room. I looked back at the photo from the confirmation email, and showed the staff member. We waited for 20 minutes while he made calls, and tried to communicate with us via google translate. He then showed us a triple room, yet it had the same low ceilings and no balcony. He said the room we booked wasn't available. So, we went with the double room since it at least had a balcony. The staff member told us he would try to get a refund as the price for a standard double was significantly lower. He told us to wait in the room for his phone call. We waited for an hour in the room with no phone call, and finally decided to head out to enjoy our first day on vacation. When we passed the front desk it was a completely different person and he didn't know of our story. So we spent another hour explaining (again through google translate) and he offered us a 30 minute massage, which we didn't want. We just wanted a comfortable room for our stay. He said there was nothing they could do for us and to contact Expedia. The room was small, the bathroom was very beat up, the bed was not comfortable, and the air conditioning barely cooled the room. Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous view and great location. The room was very clean and the drinks by the pool were great. We are looking forward to coming back to stay here.

The view!!

This best part about this unique pousada is the spectacular view of Armação de Búzios. Some observations and recommendations: Park on the street and don't attempt to drive up the steep and narrow drive way. Our room didn't quite match the published photos online. The shower was missing tile and the bathroom floor floods with water when taking a shower. The bed was acceptable and the air conditioning worked beautifully. If security is a concern to you, there is not a deadbolt or latch to secure the room once inside. They did have a safe in the room; however, it was not operational. We did not experience any security issues. The breakfast consisted of a variety of meats, cheeses, breads, dry cereals, fresh fruits, juices, milk, coffee and tea. The breakfast runs from 8am until 11am which could be a challenge if you have an early morning tour. The staff speaks Spanish and Portuguese. Several popular beaches are within 5-15 minutes scenic walk of the pousada. The front desk will lend one towel per room for day use. We did not use the pool as we spent enough time in the water at the beach.

Great location

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were always pleasant. I see some complaints about the stairs well this is Buzzios, you are either on the side of a hill with great views and yes some stairs to climb or flatland with no view and no stairs. If you want breathtaking views this is the sacrifice you will have to make. Well worth it in my opinion.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY

Nice room, excellent breakfast, excellent food at the restaurant, delicious "free caipis", nice swimming pool. Perfect place to go to city centre and beaches. We arrived very late and they managed to find a a pizza at 1am. they solved the transfer to Rio airport...EXCELLENT! We will return!

Friendly and very helpful

Very enjoyable. We needed to extend our car hire over the phone and as the car hire staff did not speak English the hotel receptionist made the call for us.They were so helpful even though they spoke little English themselves.

Pousada linda, excelente varanda com uma vista deslumbrante, local super tranquilo, quarto espaçoso muito confortável. Nos andares superiores tem mais escadas, mas os quartos são muito mais privativos. Duas observações: No quarto 08 o chuveiro (solar) ficava apenas 2 minutos quente, depois era apenas banho frio, horrível; No café da manhã (bem servido) havia apenas 1 pessoa trabalhando, a reposição de alimentos e utensílios estava deficitária.

Pousada bem localizada e próxima a praia, vista maravilhosa, quarto espaçoso, piscina limpa e agradável... Elogios para a funcionária do bar da piscina, Celeste, muito solícita e agradável bem como o recepcionista do turno da noite, diferente do diurno, que foi meio seco... O que deixou a desejar foi o café da manhã, muito fraco, com pouca variedade.... A presença constante de um gato no local onde serve o café da manhã e na área da piscina, deixando pelos no local e se tornando desagradável.... A sauna não estava funcionando e nada foi falado sobre...

A Pousada dispõe somente de poucas opções de alimentação nos casos em que o hóspede opta por permanecer na piscina. Também tivemos problemas operacionais com ar condicionado, o qual foi de qualquer forma corrigido tão logo houve disponibilidade de profissional, devido ao período de Natal.
