Lovely weekend visit, food was cooked to perfection, very helpful staff. Stand in chef cooked steak a very high standard. Near to all tourist locations. Would recommend. Rooms a bit tired but would not put me off coming again.

The Inn for All Seasons has become a regular stop en route between London and where we live in the Forset of Dean. Well worth the stop as the food in the restaurant is really superb. The menu changes regularly and we've never failed to find a really tasty starter and a superb mains. The puds are great too! We have also stayed in the hotel once in mid-winter and never again. Cold and draughty but what should we expect from such an old building?

We met another couple for lunch and have to say the staff were exceptionally helpful. My partner wanted something off the menu and the chef was able to come up with a salmon fillet which was perfectly cooked. The other dishes were equally well received and we left with a promise to return!

We were already visiting the Cotswolds for a golf trip but decided to go a day early and booked this at the last minute. The room was spacious with a decent sized bathroom and whilst the decor was a little old fashioned it suited the age of the property. Nice bedding and towels and all nice and clean. The bonus was the food, we ate in the restaurant in the evening and both meals were exceptional for a country pub as was breakfast the next morning. Ideally situated for touring around. Only downside was the road noise and headlights lighting up the room during the night. Saying that I’d stay there again.

Booked two nights, only stayed one. Staff friendly, nice breakfast but no cereal on menu or on show. Had breakfast with our dog in the Bar. Expect road noise. In the morning on investigating long ridges in the bed, found the mattress protector had a stain in a certain area! Reported this along with awful bathroom. ie: Yellow stains under toilet seat. Bathroom lock not locking. Shaving light not working. Black mould by bath. Hairs round bath taps. CFL stick bulb with no cover in ceiling. This was room 1. We were then offered room 7. A quick look round and a peek in the bathroom and all looked fine. On returning early evening the room was warm. Tried to get some air flow so removed a vase in front of the extractor in the bathroom...Filthy! .....again, yellow stains under toilet seat. Damp on ceiling...and...stained mattress protector. On showing the manager all this his comment was that the standard of the accomodation is reflected in the price. (£84 per night, double room). We agreed to leave with no charge.

Frenziedly staff and good food make this an ideal base to visit the Cotswolds. We took motorbikes and the parking was fine and out of the way of the main road. The rooms albeit a little dated were comfortable and clean and tidy. The bar staff were good as were the restaurant staff at breakfast and dinner.

Travelling back from Exmoor so rang in advance and booked a table - just as well we did as busy Had a very good roast lunch - my wife had roast portk and I had the sirloin of beef. Both well cooked and presented and tasty. Both had desserts to round off. Have stayed here before for either coffee or a meal and never disappointed.

We had a great weekend stay - really lovely rooms which were clean and had very nice decor. The atmosphere and food were excellent. We selected it because it was dog friendly and the room was perfect with beautiful stone slab floors accessible straight outside. I find dog friendly places are always welcoming, both from the staff and guests.

We were presented with dinner menu & made choices. First three choices of mains chosen were not available. Waiter allowed us to keep choosing without explaining that virtually nothing was available at 8.15 on a Thursday evening. The option finally chosen by 3 of the 4 of us; butterfly chicken was obviously frozen. It had the same thickness, moisture- level and appeal as a flip-flop sole! Waiter also brought wrong starter and forgot drinks. This was not a busy evening. Next day the room was not serviced beyond the duvet being straightened out. Bins were not emptied, bathroom not cleaned, wet towels were not changed or picked off side of bath. The tea tray in the room was not replenished so once we had used the 2 teabags on morning one, we had coffee but no tea on morning two; we’re tea drinkers! Being told we’re not normally like this isn’t any consolation when it was like that for us. The place also suffers badly from the noise from the A40, which passes right outside the building and seems a favourite route at night for racing traffic.

I was in the area of Burford, and needed to find a place to stay for a night. I used Google to find hotels in the area, and "The Inn For All Seasons" came up as one of the possibilities. I drove to it and made the booking, which was a most pleasant experience. I then went out again, to return some time later with my partner. The room was spotless and the bed linen was beautiful real cotton. The shower water was piping hot and all fittings worked flawlessly. There were enough electrical points and plugs for all of my recharging needs. Breakfast was a real eye-opener. The choice was vast, and the meals we did choose were perfectly cooked. The coffee was real and delicious. All in all, I would recommend this jewel to any traveler as a fine place to stay, either overnight or as a base for visiting the wonders of Wiltshire, Goucestershire and Oxfordshire, as it is on the borders of all three.
