With majestic views of the Collegiate Peaks, this log home is only 3 miles to buzzing Buena Vista and close to all things wonderfully Colorado: hiking the CO Trail, mountain biking, fly-fishing, hot springs, rafting, skiing, snow shoeing, & nature soaking. Play in town with cool shops, eateries, and art galleries; walk along the river or tour nearby Salida, Twin Lakes, Leadville or even Crested Butte from this great CO getaway! Ideal for up to 6 people.

This beautiful log home delivers with a wrap around deck and stunning views. Complete with solar-powered electricity, this eco-cabin’s floor plan optimizes natural sunlight that compliments rich wood tones, vaulted ceilings and beetle kill pine wood cabinets. The cozy kitchen offers sunrise views, while bedrooms include two bathroom en-suites, one on the lower level, plus a spacious loft suite offering captivating views, and a third bedroom on the main floor. The outdoor deck, solar studio & garden provide space to enjoy the crisp mountain scenery - ideal after a long day enjoying the nearby hiking and biking trails.

Other things to note: Shoes off in the house is preferred please. There is a shoe rack in the closet next to the front door, and a mud room entrance/closet through the back door.

We have 2 internet service providers (ISPs) due to the relatively not great options in our area. Internet speed for one of our ISPs is ~24/25 Mbps for downloading and 3 Mbps for uploading. The other is ~10 Mbps for downloading and 1 Mbps for uploading. This is typically sufficient for most uses, but if you may consider bringing a wi-fi hotspot for additional bandwidth.

The stay was wonderful-property was clean and updated although very cold when we arrived. Thermostat was set to 55* but it warmed up within an hour. Would 100% stay here again.

A great time in a great location

We are a group of 5 pastors from the Midwest who visited Buena Vista for a hiking retreat. All of us enjoyed our time at the cabin. It is close enough to town to make things convenient, but far enough outside of town to be quiet. The views are magnificent and the cabin amenities are great. We hope we can stay there again.

Great location for trails and sites - or juat staying at the cabin. All the amenities and more with outdoor activities, cornhole, bicycles, firepit, hammock, workout equipment. Kitchen and laundry room were furnished with everything needed. Only forewarning is no A/C.

Centrally located family get-away

This beautiful cabin was perfect for our party of 6, lots of space & privacy for everyone. Beds were comfy, we had everything we needed in the kitchen, games & movies in the living room and bikes, corn hole to enjoy in the garage, plus an outdoor fire pit. The property & grounds are awesome, garden, flowers, etc. saw many colorful birds from the wrap-around porch and the views… WOW! Gorgeous! By far the neatest was the studio building out back! Quick 5 minute drive to Buena Vista for groceries, food, etc. The hosts Peter & Anne were easy to contact & made sure we had everything we needed, check in & check out was a breeze. Thanks for a wonderful Colorado get-away!
