Very nice nice hotel by the Danube. Great rooms, restaurant and atmosphere. We travelled for pleasure and had a great time. Rooms are very big, decent bathroom, very good food. Buffet or a la carte. Decent prices.

Overall very nice personel, very helpfull. Clean, nice accomodations, great location. a good restaurant. Price was reasonable. a bit 'far' to get to the therms, baths, sauna,... Not really a 'cozy bar'.

Wow what a place. Located in a beautiful park in the island not far from the city center. Bus service readily available to take you to the city. The hotel is an old building well kept the restaurant is reasonable in quality and price. The breakfast buffet rich but with the option of ala carte. The spa facilities (next door) well maintained and clean. The thermal bath something not to be missed

When we arrived at the island it was under major reconstruction we had not been advised of this prior to our visit. The reconstruction work meant that not only was a number of facilities unavailable, there were areas that where dangerous and all public buses where being diverted meaning it was difficult to get into the town. The hotel did provide a shuttle bus but this was overcrowded and only ran so many hours a day meaning taxis has to be used adding further expenses. We was given a ground floor hotel room which was very dated on arrival one of the curtains was hanging off, we alerted this to staff however they failed to fix it. After going to reception 5-6 times they sent a maintenance man who said it couldn't be fixed until morning. This meant anyone in the park could see directly into our room. It took three days for this to be fixed. The next issue we found was the water, it was disgusting it ran dark brown. We asked about this and was told it was run from the river and there wasn't anything they could do. Safe to say we felt dirty the whole holiday, spending a fortune on bath products to try and mask the water. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the spa it is a lovely place to visit and relax. The best part of the holiday was when the taxi collected us to take us to the airport. I was so excited about my visit and left feeling very deflated and disappointed.

I have stayed at this hotel with my family during my vocation. We really have enjoyed every moment of that time. We have enjoyed a lot this hotel due to is location and his commodities! We would like to highlight the kindness of all hotel personal, being all the time ready to help you in everything you need. Thanks a lot for your services.

I took my mother for a short stay in Budapest. The month November is a tricky time. We were not ready for a strong cold wind with rain. I was so happy that we stayed in Grand Hotel with its amazing swimming pool, thermal pools, and saunas. After a cold rainy day of walking through the streets of Budapedt, the thermal pools and saunas were a welcomed treat. The place is beautiful, clean. The room was very large and clean with all necessities: office table, small table, sofa, comfortable chairs, two beds, safety box, coffee machine, and a small refrigerator. Free internet. Beautiful newly designed bathroom. Multiple lamps. I was surprised to see a huge pillow and a medium size -- l love to sleep on a large pillow, and my mother likes a medium one, so one has a choice-- very thoughtful! The blanket was very warm and had duvet- one more surprised thing. The location of the Grand Hotel is another wonderful thing that has to be noted. The Island. It is an amazing place to stay. All green, surrounded by water; connected to to the Buda and Pest by two bridges; one is Margy Bridge. It took us about 25 minutes to walk from our hotel to the Margy Bridge. About 40 minutes to Parlament. Close to the hotel, on one side of the Margy Bridge is a great restaurant one must try Trophy Grill. There is a running trail along the island. In the morning I took a run and then went to swimming pool and sauna. We had a wonderful time!!

Lovely location but hotel looked a bit shabby and in need of some Tlc. Feel that more time should be spent on tidying it up. Also the staff were far from welcoming and when I went for breakfast was told to wait. Hardly good customer service

Had a lovely stay in October, Hotel has old fashioned charm...spa is lovely although the weather was so good we never got to use the Spa facilities. The hotel appears to be suitable for older couples looking for a peaceful getaway, Margaret Island offers some beautiful walks.

Wonderful hotel great location relaxing spa lovely island and free bus and trams to the city if you are over 65. We had the most relaxing time and enjoyed great weather. You are supplied with the dressing gowns for the spa and can change in your room and get to the spa by underground walkway, you can stay in the spa to eat and drink by the pool or sunbathe on the roof area.

Absolutely wonderful trip, absolutely wondeful hotel, absolutely wondeful Budapest! The trip to Hungary was the present to my birthday because I like this country very much. And I enjoyed every moment of my being in Budapest and of course in the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. SPA centre is excellent! Those 3 days were the best time. Thank you!
