Loved it here. The rooms are nicely done and spacious with a small kitchenette area. The fridge is stocked daily with local beer and champagne. Also, cookies, water and apples from the orchard are replenished daily. The deck is lovely and large enough for yoga and meditation. Stunning views of the water from room deck and a great place to sit in the morning and at the end of the day. The staff here are fantastic (knowledgeable and friendly), they will arrange dinner reservations and make recommendations for local attractions. Don't miss breakfast which is served on the main deck facing the garden (weather permitting). We took advantage of the door-to-door laundry service and it was much appreciated at that point in our trip... I can't say enough about our stay here; we stayed three nights and didn't want to leave.

We stayed here three nights. Lovely suite with garden overlooking estuary. Fridge was stocked with beer and mini sparkling wine which was appreciated. Jordyn kindly booked restaurants in nearby Mapua for us for dinner in the evening. Breakfast was excellent, one morning we were able to sit on the verranda. There is a fantastic quilt shop on the road into Mapua, if you are interested in craft.

Bronte Estate has only a few rooms but they all look straight onto the estuary giving breathtaking views every time you open the curtains. Our room was well presented, well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight with full cooked breakfast served on a delightful patio or in the traditional dining room depending on the weather by a very hospitable team who were only too willing to suggest local attractions, restaurants and points of interest. They had even booked a table at one of their local favourites for the evening we arrivived to ensure we didn't miss out

We stayed here for two nights. Certainly the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. There are only 3 suites and a small villa. The suites overlook the estuary with it's myriads of birds. The rooms have been meticulously furnished and there are extremely comfortable beds. Guests_are provided with binoculars and a bird book! The fridge is stocked with complimentary sparkling wine and beer. We were extremely well looked after from the time we arrived. Wonderful breakfasts on the terrace of the main house where the owners live. We were also given excellent advice as to where to eat and places to see. We would highly recommend and would return next week if the UK were nearer!

My wife and I recently stayed at Bronte Country Estate and had a wonderful stay.We arrived after a drive from Christchurch and were pleasantly surprised that they had made us reservations at great local restaurant. The grounds are really spectacular and if you have the time, offer tennis and a swimming pool. The high point of the day is breakfast, with a made to order entry and numerous sweet breads and fruit. The suites are located next to the tidal bay and offer great views. All in all,a really nice place to stay, while visiting the Nelson/Abel Tasman area.

Early 20th century homestead set in bucolic gardens. This is not a b&b but liking staying home and enjoying a most friendly and effective personal service. Moreover there is a fine swimming pool and a tennis court. Rooms are in fact one or two bedroom suites overlooking the bay and featuring a sitting room, kitchen, bedroom with superior bed, large bathroom and a spacious patio. Breakfast is served on the large patio of the homestead and cooked to order. All produce is fresh and local and prepared with so much love and attention. The all female staff are just great. Not a cheap stay but worth the money. No extra credit card charge which was most appreciated. Should be an example for the less fair businesses in NZ. Will certainly return and stay longer.

Stayed for 5 nights. Margaret and Bruce are lovely hosts. Jordynne, Viv and the housekeeping team are all really lovely and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in a suite which were amazing and had a fantastic costal outlook. Breakfast was an experience in itself, very tasty, home cooking and baking, all served fresh, a real treat, Although our suite was fantastic...should we return, we would definitely go for one of the two villas, which looked absolutely stunning. The estate is set in lovely gardens, with a pool and is just a few minutes drive to very good restaurants and bars.

I don't often give 5 stars but Bronte is exceptional. We had a separate suite overlooking the tidal lagoon with outside deck. A peaceful oasis a short drive from Nelson near Mapua. Host Margaret met us on arrival and escorted us to the suite. Dinner had been pre booked for us at a local restaurant on the Mapua wharf. Breakfast was well presented with home baked muffins and banana loaf on offer. I regret we only had one night in this location but I can definitely recommend this establishment. Any negatives? Yes just one minor complaint, delicious cooked breakfast served on cold plates! Oh and the gardens are spectacular! There was even a Labrador provided on request for a morning dog fix!

Do I ever miss Bronte! This place was a wonderful oasis of serenity. My husband and my parents and I stayed in a lovely villa with beautiful rooms and an amazingly peaceful view of the water. We could have moved in! The service was also fantastic. Margaret took great care of us, and it was so nice to walk in to find a stocked fridge and pantry! Homemade muesli, banana bread, and cookies, fresh fruit, eggs, bread, smoked salmon, etc. We felt so well looked after and would love to book a return visit!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom house at Bronte for 3 nights. Accommodation is spacious , comfortable with full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, Laundry and sun decks. This is ideal for a family. Beautiful views. Breakfast could either be prepared for you by Michelle in the house or one could eat on the patio of the main house if room permits since other guests eat on the patio too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Good base for exploring the area. Nelson is only 15 to 20 minutes away.
