We found the property to be very nice. It was clean and easy to access. The amenities were outstanding. The only issue was that the TV's in the outside areas were not operable. The only remote we could find did not operate either TV. Other than that, we would definitely want to stay at this property in the future!!

We just checked out of Lazy Bear Retreat in Broken Bow and this was, undoubtedly, the WORST vacation we have ever experienced. The place is full of wasps (both alive and dead), lady bugs (alive) and huge spiders (alive). Additionally, the closet in the bedroom downstairs is unusable because it’s full of furniture and other furnishings. We did call and report this after being literally chased twice within 10 minutes by red wasps and Meagan with Vacana was as helpful as she could be. She was able to get the pest control company there to spray, but we had to vacate the house for several hours, which was an inconvenience to say the least.Upon returning to the house after it was treated by the pest control company, the situation most certainly got worse before it got better. The amount of live wasps flying around increased. We spent much of our time at the house swatting and killing insects. Additionally, we found roaches in our shoes and on the kitchen counter. For the amount of money I paid for this rental, it’s rather disappointing to be having to kill red wasps every 10 minutes and have to look at the ridiculous amount of dead bugs on top of cabinets and window sills every time we go up and down the stairs.

Relaxing and Enjoyable stay!
This is a new property, the home was clean, well laid out, comfortable and we had a great time. We spent our time relaxing in and there was plenty of space, the kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans and utensils for cooking. Grill worked well. The table was large so adding extra bar stools around it worked well for our group. We enjoyed the pool table and arcades, were able to spread out easily to relax and there were lots of lovely views. The home is very open so if you are in the mail living area up stairs or down you can see and talk to everyone easily. If you had a bunch of younger kids it would get fairly loud because of the open concept, but we enjoyed the lay out. The drive way is no joke, definitely steep. The walkway down to the fire pit has no hand rail so anyone concerned with falling probably shouldnt try it. The home is new but not the craftsmanship isn’t great, though it is decorated nicely, so if you’re reading this review a few years from now, you might want to make sure it’s still in good shape.

Beware of wasps!
Overall, the property looked like the pictures and was clean. However, there was an unreasonable amount of wasps inside the home. I had read from previous reviews that wasps had been an issue, but I was hopeful it had been resolved. It was evident that measures had been taken to eradicate them and there was wasp spray available in the house but there were still many flying around mostly in the high ceiling areas so they would not be reached to swat or spray. They were also on the beds and countertops at times. The home was beautiful and well furnished but the wasps flying about definitely impacted our stay.

Excellent! We had a blast!
The cabin is absolutely beautiful and fully equipped for a perfect stay! We spent our Christmas holidays there and absolutely loved it. They even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree ready for us, which made it feel extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely mountain views
We stayed over a long weekend in Mid October and loved it. The house is beautiful inside - just like the photos. And everything was clean. The outdoor patios are wonderful. The views from the main room and patios are lovely. You barely see other homes. There is a house that shares a drive way but the houses face each other so each has its own private views off the back and you only see the other house when entering and exiting. You could see one other house off to the side but it was really only seen from the hot tub side of the patio. The house had everything we needed in the kitchens and baths and our boys enjoyed the game room with the shuffle board and pool table and arcade machines. The only item I would note is that access to the fire pit at the back of the house is treacherous. The slope is so steep and there are no real stairs. My 79 year old mother could not get down there and the rest of us were also concerned about falling as the gravel is loose. I would suggest they put in a set of stairs. Oh and take them seriously when they say the driveway to the house is steep. It really is. We had no issues getting up and down in our suburban but the weather was nice. Also the house is far enough out of town to feel secluded and be away from noise but close enough to get to the marina and state park fairly quickly. We would for sure come back. It was a wonderful home.
