We were placed on the second floor and told to use the stairs. I didn't know there wasn't an elevator when she put us on the 2nd floor. We had to lug all of our bags and my kiddo up a 100degree stairwell. The hallway smelled like it was 80 years old. The room was also 100 degrees. The sheets and the towels were all stained. There was hair in the shower. Also stains in the carpet.
We check in on Friday afternoon room was clean but hot turned AC on to cool the room. By the time room was cool & stayed cool the entire time we were there. Staff was friendly and polite. Rooms were quiet so much so we didn't hear the helicopter leave Saturday morning. Will stay here again when I return for my next class reunion.
The lobby was clean but smelled a little weird and the lady behind the desk (I think she owned the place) wasn't the friendliest but she wasn't the rudest, either. The grounds were kept nicely and the room was clean but it was the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen; my bedroom at home was bigger than this. All in all it wasn't a terrible place to stay but I don't think I'll ever stay at a Microtel again.
This place was pretty dirty. It was late, we we're tired, so we got a room. The Staff/owners were very nice but the room was not very clean. Next time we will tough it out and go further to find some thing better. Trust me there were lots of way worse looking places to stay, some I wouldn't even want to pull in the parking lot of. This one didn't seem to bad but once getting settled in the room I found to many things that I would have preferred been cleaned better (or just cleaned). I must admit the rooms are very quiet! our room shared a wall with the lobby/ breakfast area, we never heard a sound and when we stepped out that morning to leave that area was full (I guess of lake goers who were rained in) we never once heard them right outside our door. Could have been an ok stay but the cleanliness shot the rating WAY down!
The hotel was clean and quiet. The decor was dated and breakfast (free) was nothing to brag about. Staff was friendly and it has easy access to get in/out of town. We stayed in a king size room and it was very affordable at $100 + tax.
Everything, starting with Charlie checking us in to the comfortable beds, clean rooms, staff & overall vibe was exceptional !!! The location is perfect, right down the street from everything. Well done... The JNB will return. Thank you.
My wife, mother-in-law and two MONTH old went to this hotel on 5-25-17. This trip was for business. My mother-in-law went to help with my son. My wife is a professional on business. My wife had called the day before to request a early check-in due to the fact she is nursing my two month old and you may or may not know timing is everything when nursing. They said to come in and check for room availability when they got into town. They got there just after noon and the owner lady said to come back in a hour and will have a room ready. My wife and mother-in-law went to lunch and came back one hour. Low and behold all the first floor got filled in that hour. This place has no elevator so caring baby stuff and baggage will be a chore. Did mention my mother-in-law has a bad back so walking up the stairs is an issue anyway. After mentioning all of this the first visit to the owner lady. It did not bother her to not help out my wife. She had disregard for my wife's request from the day before. My mother-in-law is not the one to keep silent when someone does her family wrong. My mother-in-law and owner lady argue about the customer service offered here. The owner lady kicks my wife, baby and mother-in-law out of the hotel. luckily there was room next door. This place is NOT locally owned and operated. They might live in Broken Bow but I promise they are not from Broken Bow. Please help me in boycotting this place. Sincerely, Chris Smith Veteran U.S. Navy
