The Lodge Gatehouse is a charming gatehouse nestled in among the woods at the bottom of the original drive to Coombe Lodge.

Featuring a large separate bedroom with dressing area, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has everything you need to escape and explore the countryside or as a place to crash whilst partying at Coombe Lodge.

The Space:
With the entrance through the original gates you have access to the entire cottage comprising of a large super-king bedroom with dressing table and sitting area, living room, kitchen, bathroom with large walk-in shower and garden towards the front. There is parking for a couple of cars outside the cottage and along the drive. If you are attending Coombe Lodge you simply just need to walk up the drive surrounded by nature or you can also drive up and down if you need too.

Guest Access:
Featuring a separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has everything you need to escape and explore the countryside or as a place to crash whilst partying at Coombe Lodge.

The Neighborhood:
The cottage is in a village with beautiful surrounding countryside.
There's fantastic walking, horse riding, mountain biking and within casting distance there's Blagdon Lake famous for trout fishing.

Getting Around:
You really need a car or a bike to explore the area if you're not a walker. You can't rely on public transport.

Other Things to Note:
The cottage is by the main road which does feature some heavy traffic, however, with the windows and doors closed this does limit the road noise hugely.

Lovely stay in lovely countryside

Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them.
