Mantra on Queen4.5 out of 5.0

We flew to Brisbane to watch Pacquiao-Horn boxing fight and we were actually meant to stay at Quest but we got bumped to Mantra on Queen due to overbooking. It was a very stressful morning trying to find an accommodation on a very busy weekend. Annie, the front office manager was lovely and made sure we're comfortable after hearing of our taxing morning. Our one-bedroom apartment had a great view of the river and the bed was super comfortable! We'll definitely stay again.
Clean and fresh. Good location near to the Queen St Mall and ferry wharf all in walking distance. Restaurant handy for a night time meal and also does breakfast and lunches and room service. the mushroom risotto was very good.
The room was lovely however I did book 2 single beds not a queen. It was quite late when we got to the room so didn't bother reception to move rooms. The pool needed a clean. Other than that everything was satisfactory. Thanks so much.
The Mantra was a decent spot to stay but there was nothing outstanding about the accommodation. The room was neat but probably a bit dated all round. Not having the restaurant open at the time was a bit of a pain.
Clean and cheap, this hotel is good value for money but difficult to access. The carpark is horrendous and is accessible via a one way street. Restaurant was closed on Saturday night but the included breakfast was very nice. Our rooms was small, but had everything we needed plus city views and a small balcony. Staff were helpful.
Overall good to very good, staff are excellent, room good, location good but let down by lack of dinner service for most of the week and lack of close-by restaurants. Perhaps a list of recommended close-by restaurants for guests. Also traffic noise took a few days to get use to.
Checking in and out was fine and the room was comfortable with a great view of the bridge and Brisbane River. I was just an overnight so not a lot of time to experience the services however the restaurant service really let the place down. The menu wasn't available and the service was terrible (I ordered one beer and it never came). Breakfast buffet was good but again the service was not great
A friend stayed in room 3006 so when I needed to stay in town, it was my first choice. Great having a kitchen and enjoyed a soak in the bath after a long busy day. The view of the bridge and buildings was sensational
The room looked nothing like the photos and we were disappointed with it. The verandah was so small only 1 little table and 1 chair was on it. Way too small for a two bedroom apartment. Breakfast was pretty good but the evening meal was pretty bad. The Thai beef salad with crunchy noodles and baked nuts was a bowl of leaf with some tasty beef strips on top. No dressing, no crunchy noodles and no nuts. The complimentary dessert might have been free but was quite burnt. Having said that the staff were all friendly and it was excellent service and we were there for work not a holiday. Had it been for a holiday it would have been way worse. It is simply too expensive for what it is.
The staff were great, the 1 bedroom apartment apartment we had was nice and comfortable had a good view of the river. The buffet breakfast was also great. Woolworths is just 1-2 minute walk away and Central station is a 5-7 minute walk. The buses stop close to the hotel aswell.
