Fantastic house for two families or friends wanting to holiday together. The five bedrooms include a bunkroom downstairs with its own bathroom and a self contained flat with a queen bed and ensuite. Upstairs there are great views from the living areas and the spacious front deck plus three bedrooms and two more bathrooms - the master bedroom has an ensuite. There are five TVs one of which is set up for a Play Station (in the downstairs self coantained area). This area is obviously perfect for children or teenagers. The back deck has a ping pong table. This great beach house is walking distance to Home Beach and the pub and allows for maximum 8 adults.

All up, there are 4 bathrooms, Dishwasher, microwave, WIFI, DVD Players, FOXTEL, auto washing machine, dryer, gas BBQ on the deck. Internal split level steps.

Fantastic family holiday

We had a wonderful stay and the house was perfect for our stay. When at home the kids could entertain themselves downstairs and the adults had plenty of space upstairs to relax.

Great for large groups but for price needs some simple upgrades.

Excellent balcony, beautiful view and large living areas. Internet and Foxtel provided. Plenty of beds, cookware, plates for large groups. It was quite dusty and not cleaned well. Some of the rooms get very hot as you can't leave the door open because they aren't secure and can be accessed from the road. The fans provided aren't effective and the curtains are sheer so let a lot of morning sun in.

Close to beach but house is dirty & needs repairs

Good location but definitely wouldn’t stay again. Pros: close to Cylinders Beach (easy walking distance) & good layout with lots of space for a large group or family (we were 8 adults with 2 infants and there was ample space). Cons: house needs a thorough deep clean, it’s absolutely filthy apart from the main elements (linen, bathrooms). Pretty much all internal and external doors & windows are broken and don’t open easily (a 7 month old baby got locked in one of the rooms alone due to the handle being broken). The garden was completely overgrown, the back entertaining area was too dirty to use, all windows are covered in dirt and cobwebs, the downstairs area smelt strongly of mould and had mould on the walls. The road is also extremely busy with hundreds of loud 4WDs & trucks going past all day as it’s a main thoroughfare on the island. There was also not enough basic cleaning products for the 5 nights we booked.

We love the house location, the space and the view.

Our 5-day stay was too short. We wish we could have booked longer. The house set up, location, the view is perfect for us. The house was very clean and all the appliances we need were provided. It’s like 2 minutes walk to the beach so it’s perfect to do walking early in the morning. We can watch the whales from our deck.
