We very much enjoyed our stay here. There were 4 of us 40-50 year olds and it was spot on for our little break. The area couldn't be more perfect for the seafront, shops and pubs. Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms comfortable, bathrooms clean. Exactly what we needed and for the cost was good value for money. Not exactly luxurious but very comfortable and plenty of space for the 4 of us. The pub across the road is a definite bonus, lovely people. Owner kept in contact and gave clear checking in instructions. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

The house is great and in a fab location However the strong smell of cigarette smoke especially in the ground floor was overwhelming.It seems to come from the smokers outside the very very noisy pub opposite and the restaurant out the back.The property was perfect and this was the only thing to let it down

The property was as described and in a good location for heading to the beach or going shopping. There were plenty of places to eat close by and many nice pubs to visit in the evening. The place could use a new coat of paint inside, but it was fine as is. Bathrooms worked well and the beds were fine. We had a big problem with the unit due to the heat dome which descend on the area when we arrived. The owners were certainly not at fault for the heat wave, but fans should have been provided in all bedrooms for the summer months. It was too hot to sleep or stay in the unit much- once again, no one's fault. As mentioned in the ad for the unit there is a very noisy pub right across the street. It was very noisy most nights and we couldn't close the windows as we needed air. Perhaps if there had been a fan to go along with the earplugs provided by the owner, it would have been doable, but due to circumstances, we couldn't get to sleep until 2 am. One other thing to note, there are four levels to the unit which means a huge amount of stairs. Just something to keep in mind if that could be an issue. The host was quick to respond as needed.

This property is fine for a couple of days and is very central to all the activities in Brighton. When we booked we were aware that there would be no refund, but a couple of weeks prior to our stay we found out that the trains wouldn’t be running from Brighton back to London causing us a real problem. I emailed the property owner asking if, on this occasion, she would be willing to re-consider the ‘no refund’ policy. I messaged 3 times but had no reply leaving us in limbo! On arrival at the property we struggled with the key lockbox and rang the ‘emergency contact number’ 6/7 times with no reply. Luckily for us a gentleman from the pub opposite helped us and we managed to gain access. He did point out that this wasn’t the first time he had assisted.The house was lovely and clean, well stocked but a little tired and in need of some TLC.
