Stayed here after reading mostly positive reviews about this hotel. Maybe they had an off-day but the service was not kind at all. It was very busy and maybe that’s why. We booked half pension but should have told them before ordering dinner. The next day we had a big discussion about this when paying the bill. Food was not bad but quite expensive for German standard, nothing special. The room was spacious but beds are small and interior is very outdated. Have stayed in better places for less.

I can confirm the food in the evening was truly delicious, sadly couldn't quite finish as the portion of Spätzle with the pork was enormous. We had a triple room which was actually three separate double bedrooms, more like an apartment. The cost was extremely reasonable & wouldn't hesitate to return. Bit of a language problem but always makes for a bit of humour. It is in a very quiet location about 4m away from the centre of main town.

A bit off the beaten path, but close enough to Freiburg and other Black Forrest sites, this hotel was a great value. The room was clean and had a small balcony that offered a view of this tiny town. Breakfast was decent and included, BUT dinner was worth every extra euro! Would stay here again.

Having stayed in Germany a lot the standard of this hotel was no shock, it was very good just what you come to expect, room was great and the service was excellent !!!! Would stay again if in the area .

Good-sized room, comfortable beds, clean large bathroom, welcome bottle of water and some fruit on a tray, much appreciated after a long bike ride. Impressively clean accommodation. Hotel provides a place to store bicycles over night and allowed others to charge their electric bikes. Decent breakfast and tasty dinner, not expensive. After a night there, we were refreshed and ready to resume our bike tour. I would recommend Gasthof Loewen without a single reservation.

Lovely picturesque stopover for the night was our first impression as we pulled in to the car park. We had a lovely room with balcony, looking out to the road and woods. As in previous experiences in Germany, you can be assured of a good bed unlike the majority of B&Bs/guesthouses in UK. A very important factor that is often overlooked by privately owned/small establishment. Good seasonal dishes for dinner and a good spread for breakfast. WIFI was only available in the dining area.

Perfekt! Und auch das Personal war super freundlich. In unseren Augen ein richtiger Geheimtipp!

Mooie kamer ruim opgezet, adequaat en schoon sanitair. Auto kan op de binnenplaats worden geparkeerd. Vriendelijke eigenaresse.
