Stayed here for 2 nights. Excellent location, very close to sites, supermarket, restaurants and the old opera house. Room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the location. However, room was looking a bit tired. Tea and coffee making facilities were added bonus. Dining area overlooked the square and the musical fountain
Always pleased to stay in old Carlton hotel, because of the location and many memories going back some 60 years. I am pleased to see some improvements in the restaurant and hope that the hotel will keep up with the competition from so many more choices in the Old town.
Awesome hotel with a great atmosphere in the centre of the city. Really friendly stuff. Good bar service. Room with well sleeping bed. Lunch with menu was fresh and delicious. In total a good and comfortable stay with no concerns and a relaxing feeling. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay.
I love this old building on a gorgeous typical Eastern European square. The part I enjoyed the most was the breakfast here, served in this wonderful brasserie-style 1920"s room. The service is quite polite and helpful and the rooms are comfy and quite simple. The one thing I thought the hotel lacked was some "premium" feel to it. Clearly the average tourist or business man there is less wealthy that in other world capitals, but there is room still to make the whole experience better : valet parking, porters who greet you, a terrace outside, etc...
Stayed here for a little less than a week in September '16, an absolutely gorgeous hotel. It is located right in the middle of the city center & it is so pleasant just to even look outside the window & find action everywhere. It gives this hotel a very lively vibe. The staff is very nice & polite. The breakfast spread is quite good. I found the rooms to be a bit on the smaller side but the view more than makes up for it & if you remain outside most of the time - it shouldn't really matter. But having said that the beds are very comfortable & although you are amidst the hustle & bustle of this lovely town - you can have a peaceful good night's sleep for sure. Oh & by the way, it was the best Wi-Fi reception I have had in a hotel. Loved staying there & will be visiting again!
I like Radission hotels at all. This one is also very central nice and has nice, kind employees. Hotel's place is good, Bratislava is small city so you can almost walk everywhere from hotel. Breakfast also nice, standard Radisson breakfast
I have been here for work for a week and I wasn't impressed by the hotel. I have read online that it has a gym and was very disappointed to see an empty room with some equipment. The room was nice, however, when sleeping at the front the massive lights shine bright into the room.
I return to Bratislava after being away for more than 50 years. I was very happy with the quality of services and very competent personnel. The breakfast was very good with wide selection of items some of them from the Slovak cuisine. I only missed the clubs I used to visit during my young single years. This of course is the current trend anywhere in Europe.
The Radisson is perfectly located in the center of Bratislava with easy access to the old town. Hotel itself looks perfect from the outside, the rooms might benefit from a bit of an upgrade but everything is clean and nicely maintained. Breakfast is excellent with large variety of items to pick from (both warm and cold). Staff was very friendly and attentive.
I learned from inhabitants that THE CARLTON is THE HISTORIC hotel in Bratislava. I saw it a couple of times already, wasn't aware that this top centrally located hotel is the Carlton. In the middle of the pedestrian walk, next to the US embassy and the Opera. All rooms are renovated with all 4star comfort you would expect. I felt comfortable and with regards to booking, comfort all is very good. E.g. the cleaness, the big variety of pillows, the comfortable bed, the coffee/tea arrangement. The WLAN works well, Security of the elevator. The good structured selection of TV programm (you select the country, then all TV channels are listed). The breakfast variety is very good as well: fresh, many different breads and rolls, cereals and the hot stuff. So all you can imagine. Really nothing to complaint. Yet some small items which need to be mentionned: the breakfast room is totally cold due to air-condition. And that already in the early morning on a not to warm day. Terribe. In my room under the roof, a sign asks you not to keep the window open, due to insects. As there is an air-condition in the room, this works. But if you don't like air-condition in the night, then it is terrible (and warm). The gym is a joke. An former hotel-room with a small variety of cardio equipment. And some small points are not checked for cleaness - only minor, but therefore not top. Altogether: a hotel which I can strongly recommend.
