Excellent hotel located within easy walking distance of the "old town". Good service and a very good breakfast that was included in the price of the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bratislava

Very good location, next to Old Town, the staff was quite helpful, everything was fine.I wish Expedia will make clear what is in the bathroom - shower or bath tub as I am not keen on the shower

President Hotel - excellent location, good value

President Hotel in Bratislava was well worth the money we spent. We stayed at a triple room and had a huge suite-like apartment with a big balcony. The bathroom and toilet were pretty basic, nothing fancy, but the bedrooms were very nice. Breakfast was ok, there was a good range of different things available. The location was superb, with a 5-to-10-minute walk from the main attractions in the Old Town and right next to a big shopping street. There were also a lot of nice, cheap restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are on a budget but want to stay near the Old Town.

Nice hotel, shame about the bed!

This was a perfectly nice hotel well located just off the old town and by the trams that go to the central station. Nothing remarkable but pleasant enough and good value compared to others of a similar type on expedia. However, the beds were terribly uncomfortable - very much like sleeping on firm gym mats, and the pillows weren't up to much either. The curtain rails were positioned around 6 inches from the window so it was very hard to block light from flooding in early in the morning. So although the rooms were clean they were not comfortable. They also had a video player/recorder in - who uses video nowadays?? Breakfast buffet was very average. So although it was fine I would not recommend it for the reasons given.

Book, go, and you won't be disappointment. Great location, great rooms, not the Hilton or the Hyatt, but very charming and reasonably priced.

President Hotel Bratislava

The location of this hotel is superb, the staff lovely and helpful and the rooms large and comfortable. A lot has been said of the breakfast here, but it is of the same standard of most other central european budget hotels, I had no problems with it. Only down side was that the bathroom had seen better days and the toilet smelt slightly of urine. However these small issues did not ruin my experience and would happily recommend. There is a wonderful restaurant/pub with an onsite brewery right next door to the hotel which is worth a visit, no English menu but the waiting staff were more than willing to translate as best the could.

Good hotel for short break!

Having booked a double room with a request for twin beds (for myself & my mother!) we asked at reception when we checked in. Lovely surprise! They did not have a twin room so gave us an apartment instead! Two bedrooms, a lounge etc for the same price! Good base for old town and not far from the train station (walkable.) Don't expect a big breakfast! Not a lot of choice but good coffee and toast!

Close to everything

Positive: quiet street, close to public transportation and very close to historic centre, sufficient space in the room for two people, very good wardrobe, very clean bathroom, great breakfast, great staff at front desk. Negative: my only complain about this hotel is the bed since it wasn't confortable at all. The room window was a bit dirty as well. Anyways I do recommend this hotel! Very good relation between cost and benefit.

Good location

Just outside the historical center, but only by a 3 minute walk. Only negative (and it's a slight negative) is for the price I thought there'd be a tub/shower; there was only a shower.

Great location, but dissappointing once inside.

A minutes walk from the Presidential Palace, and 5 minutes walk to the old town, the location was great. However, the miserable receptionist instantly put things back down, followed by the insanely small lift upstairs (just about room for 2 with suitcases). Room was ok in general, but bathroom floor was covered in hair, and ceiling above shower was collapsing with damp. Not nice. Breakfast was ok, but once the small amount of hot food went, it wasn't topped up (even with 2 hours of service still to go)! Worth staying if you gt an absolute bargain, but it's honestly not worthy of it's 4 stars!

Good hotel but with some drawbacks

The President is a new, well appointed, ideally located and clean hotel, but has some limitations. Some staff are helpful and friendly but others less so. My suite was large and well furnished but like the rest of the hotel lacked warmth. Wi Fi worked brilliantly but breakfast, included in the price, was modest. It is ideally situated for access to the airport and sights of Bratislava.

Great Location not so great breakfast

This hotel served our needs for a one night stay. The room was quite large and had a separate toilet and shower. The location was great and easily accessible. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, the bed was hard as a rock and the breakfast was abysmal.

Perfect location and doesn't cost the Earth

Small, new hotel on a quietish side-street. The location couldn't be better - five minutes walk from the old town. The breakfast was fine - not the best ever, but enough choice and food to start the day. Our room was large and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly or neutral, but never unfriendly. Really, for the cost I think this is the best you're going to get in a capital city. You won't be pampered, but if you just want a 'normal' hotel while you explore, and you're not a serial complainer, you can't go wrong with this one. We've already arranged to go back later in the year.

Absolut zentral und sehr gemütlich

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war zweckmässig und sehr angenehm. Zentraler geht nicht und das Zimmer war gar "zu gut" ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und vielfältig, irgendwann wurde ich aber etwas skeptisch um dessen Frische.

Excellent location and spaces rooms

The hotel has a very good location just outside the old town, with very clean and spaces rooms. I have some problems with my back, so I found the beds to soft, but when I told the staff they fixed it immediately, with a better mattress. So the service was good, but there could have been more smiles from the staff i the reception.....The breakfast was basic, but very varied. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good stay in Bratislava to a reasonable price.

Non recommandé pour séjour touristique en couple

Accueil au départ froid et impersonnel, avec un formulaire donné à remplir par la réceptioniste, alors que la plupart des informations demandées avaient déjà été fournies à la réservation sur Expédia, et une demande pour payer le soir même dès l'arrivée. Dans la chambre la poubelle n'avait pas été vidée après le départ des occupants précédents, et la chambre comportait deux lits séparés situés de chaque côté de la pièce, avec un pannonceau indiquant qu'il était interdit de déplacer les lits !!!! Il faut rajouter un décord pseudo moderne impersonnel, et une chaude qui se fait désirer.

Bien pour séjour touristique

Une fois que l'on s'est repéré (le plan sur certains guides ne va pas jusqu'à la gare...), ce petit hôtel est tout à fait correct pour un séjour touristique : proche du centre historique, bien situé dans une rue calme. Réception 24/24, personnel très discret. Les chambres semblent avoir été rénovées depuis peu, et sont climatisées (appréciable quand il fait près de 40°). Les tarifs restent modérés, malgré le passage de la Slovaquie à l'euro...

værdi for pengene

på dette mindre hotel lige op ad den gamle bydel i Bratislava, får man fred og ro om natten, samtidig med at man ikke har langt til Bratislavas hyggelige gamle gader og stræder. Skal man ud af byen er der ikke længere end 10-15 min til togstationen. Prisen er bestemt rimelig og personalet er opmærksomt og servicemindet. Sengene er lidt hårde, men landet taget i betragtning (trods IKEAs indtog) må dette vel næsten være forventeligt!
