I stayed in the hotel on the liast night of a business trip because I had an early morning flight. Check in was efficient and I was able to pay at check in, which meant no delay in the morning. Reception also booked a taxi for the morning, which was ready when I came down. I really appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities in the room because I opted not to have breakfast.
Clean and nice large rooms, fiendly staff, great wellness with fitness, sauna and pool, rich breakfest buffet. Good location near to airport, very close to shoping mall and great reachability with car from highway.
Checking in & out was very prompt even there were a few people checking it. It was pleasant & friendly with all staff i have encountered. Size of the suite is comfortable and quite specious. No complaints there. Quite room and hotel which i wanted. Public transport & shopping mall within 2 minutes walk. I also liked the complimentary marshmallows & candy. The fresh juices & coffee machine were best in breakfast. The wellness centre wasnt too comfortable in the sense that there is almost no privacy. Lockers room. It didnt have a "spa's scents n ambiance". Was loud due to children n adults...no silence..quite signs. I had massage for 30 minutes which i dont rate highly n wasnt too relaxing as its across the reception n you could hear outside noise plus the radio was on inside the massage room. Swimming pool was cold. No heating. On the small size(looks bigger on photo). Also tne circulation system is not high standards and didnt feel comfortable swimming in it. In general the wellness space needs serious rethink. Another let down was the breakfast's quality. The baked items, dairey products, fruits and hot dishes were low in quality & variation. Most hot brotien was pork. No beef nor poultary nor seafood options. For people who need to be close to old town, u will need public transport & walk. Or the expensive taxis.
very good hotel, but far away from the city center. Should be better connected with other parts of the city by bus or other means of public transport. Excellent choice for business travelers. Staff friendly and hospitable
The check in was easy, with the front desk staff warm and welcoming. Parking was simple and free behind the hotel. There is a huge mall across the street which was nice to have within walking distance. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower excellent. Breakfast amazing. Nice gym although early in the morning the sun was shining in the gym and raised the temperature by quite a bit. The cons were: off-white carpeting in room horribly stained, sink did not drain on the last day after housekeeping cleaned our room - we could not figure out what she had done so that we could correct it, thirdly our safe was locked when we went to the room. We wanted to leave our valuables in the room, however wanted to lock them up. It took close to an hour for someone to come open up the safe.
We arrived at the hotel after a flight from Australia and bus trip from Vienna. Welcomed at the hotel. Facilities were ok. Location difficult and 15 mins out of Bratislava main area. Across from shopping complex. Purpose of visit was sporting competition at x bionic. Staff were friendly. We had some issues with the bookings. I confirmed that we had a earlier booking cancelled via Expedia and would only be charged once for the room. This was confirmed when we arrived. I discovered that the charge had been processed and asked for a reversal. Advised by the clerk not possible. Have paid for the rooms twice and out of pocket. Staff not forthcoming in refunding. Has put a damper on our trip
Always a pleasant stay at NH Gate One Bratislava ! Only thing missing is a more cozy terrace to relax after a hard days work. The combination of excellent service and comfortable rooms makes NH Gate One Bratislava an excellent business hotel.
The room was big, clean and well equiped. The bathroom also big and clean with bath and shower. Nice choice of food for breakfast. Only complain goes to small outside parking. Since it is on the edge of the city it should have bigger free parking.
This business hotel has everything you need: kettle and fridge in the room with lovely white cups and saucers, tea and coffee (take your own milk or buy it from a local supermarket less than 5 minutes away). The rooms are big with TV, very comfortable beds, large bathroom with lovely white towels, hairdryer, desk and chairs. The rooms are cleaned regularly. There is a little outside space but this overlooks the road and is quite noisy. The staff speak good English and are keen to help...and they smile and greet you warmly! There is a small pool and spa area with the gym overlooking the hills. The pool is small and could be chilly for some, but there is a jucuzzi, steam room and sauna which are free to guests. The breakfast was really expensive - about £16 each so we didn't eat there. The hotel in on an industrial estate so don't expect fine views but the advantage is that there is a huge shopping centre near by and a good bus service into the city centre. Take bus 61 to the rail station - its final destination then tram 1 to the city centre. Be very careful to buy a ticket for 30 minutes (not 15) as we were caught out by the ticket inspector and had to pay a 50 euro fine each!! Lovely city to look around and I would recommend a river trip, walking tour or just a stroll to sample the amazing buildings, interesting museums, lovely river with places to sit and eat and great shops!
Perfect hotel, with all amenities and facilieites. Staff very good. Breakfast more then...price this time out of very good standard balance cost/offer (but there were many conventions in downtown). Easy reacheble from Airport and also a good combination of different means of transports from Wien. Easy to access city centre
