Greeting from sunny Baku, Azerbaijan. I was travelling with my family. The hotel is a little bit away from the city center, but it's OK. I really enjoyed staying at this wonderful hotel. I'd like to thank all the staff at this hotel (Guest Service Agents, F&B and HK). Special thanks to Ms. Michaella at the desk and Mr. Jiri at the restaurant for his excellent and gentle service. We'll be back again. Natig M
Stayed there 10+ times., Location, own car or taxi need. Check in, quick, staff very helpfull and positive. Bar is ok, but lots of cigarret smell, beer selection is not the best. Restaurant, furniture looks cheap, also noise from kitchen,, but food is excellent and so servis. Breakfast, high selection. Small pool, sauna, sunbed, small gym,, is a big bonus. I stayed on top floors, nice view. Sleep quality is very high. Nothing negative within all of my stayees
Being a platinum member of IHG Rewards program I often chose Holiday Inns but this stay was a disappointment: small rooms with minimum amenities, poor breakfast, 'tired', out of date interiors. It seems that the staff at reception never heard of benefits for platinum members - I was told that the hotel cannot provide the services which are enumerated in official benefits package. And yes - the hotel is pretty far from city center.
Nice hotel. There was never adequate staff at reception leading to long delays in getting Basic information . A/c was poor and only worked properly on one night. The bus stop to town was quite a distance and the hotel never had bus tickets for sale. Breakfast was good.
Plan 4 - 7 euro to go the center. Enjoy the swimming pool and the fitness center. Good location for ruzinov. Breakfast standard. And service limited for the bar. But at least you can enjoy the terrace. The bedroom is nice but I could not manage to operate the lights with switches and the bath
I sayed for a couple of nights in this hotel. It is not in the center of town but you can always take public transport or a taxi . You can save a lot of money this way and stay in a really confortable place. Parking prices are also reasonable way ore expensive downtown), we left our car there while we cycled the Dabube trail to Baja near Croatian border. The hotel is set back from the road so it s quiet. The rooms are comfortable, clean and bright. No issues. The front desk people were extremely pleasant and accomodating with all the questions. Try the Thai massage right in the hotel. I enjoyed it to relax my muscles ahead of 6 days of cycling. Very nice!
Holiday Inn in Bratislava gives you all what you need, but the city center is somewhere else. The underground garage is roomy, the front desk is professional and friendly, rooms are OK, breakfast as well and lunch was very good. You have already seen better gyms and swimming pool is good enough to refresh. The place is not romantic, but it is practical, clean and well run for the price you like.
Holiday Inn Bratislava I must admit that Holiday Inn was not my first choice in Bratislava. I landed up there at the last moment as I had been turned away from Centrum Salvator due to overbooking. But since I am an IHG member, I got a discount from Holiday Inn and the price turned out to be quite reasonable. Now let me tell you about its location. It is not too far off from Old Town but somehow seems very far. To catch bus number 70, you have to walk for around ten minutes to reach the stop. Then it is a ten minute ride to the center of town. But the area in which this hotel is located is rather quiet with hardly much activity around. There wS no restaurant of convenience store nearby making it difficult to buy anything urgently needed. So it was not very convenient if you are in the city for tourism purposes and if you wish to avoid taxis. The hotel though was not too new but very good. My IHG Club room on the 10th floor was big with a panoramic view of the city. The hotel also had a sauna that was surprisingly busy, a swimming pool and even tennis courts. The restaurant Brasserie served delicious Continental cuisine at very reasonable prices. Like twice I ended up paying around €12 each for the meals. This was after the 10% discount I got for being a club member. The reception staff were earnest and helpful. My request for a late check out was granted without much ado. So overall, staying at Holiday Inn was a very pleasant experience and I would strongly recommend it provided you wish to stay somewhere far away from all the action.
It is s good enough with great service friendly but old style. The breakfast is okay on selection and presentation a bit express, rooms are ok all you need older style. The best was genuine German TV and a quiet sleep. Service was excellent and creative on special requests like early arrival using teh gym showers, but these bathroom/gym are old style as well! There are other places, but when all booked, as in my case, put all modern expectations aside and you will be good!
The hotel was nice indeed, the room was pretty and clean, reception staff was really good, however I had a lot of problems with access cards, I have been staying in Holiday Inn for almost 4 months, and I had to ask for re-programming of access card at least once a week sometimes really in strange late hours (4:00 AM e.g. comming back after party) so it was not really comfortable. Also, the air condition did not work well, it was either super dry and hot - or cold, also, depends on the person, but for me the air condition sound was annoying enough to get me into trouble sleeping. Apart of those mentioned things, everything was fine. Also internet connection could be faster.
