Austria Trend Hotel Bratislava

Austria trend Bratislava is a modern hotel near the city centre. We liked our stay here. We had a big room. We got a room with to seperate beds, but we asked for a double bed. We asked at the reception if there were possibilities for a double bed and we got another room. We expected they would put the seperate beds next to each other (which would have been fine too), so we were really pleasantly surprised. The bed was really comfortable and we even watched the formula one UK grand prix from our hotelroom! We were only a bit annoyed that we needed to justify ourselves at the reception, because we asked for extra toilet paper that day. Housekeeping couldn't clean our room, because we spent that day at the hotel. This wasn't any problem for us! We just didn't expect an annoyed reaction from the reception when we asked for just toilet paper. But overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great. Breakfast is fine. We had a nice time here!

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon on a very hot summer day. There was no bottled water provided and there was no kettle nor tea / coffee in the room. However you could borrow a kettle from the reception for free (room info states that there was charge for that). There was a mini bar but it was expensive. We were very thirsty but were not sure whether the tap water was safe to drink. Therefore we went across the street to a café to buy cold bottled water. It was very expensive at €2.30 per 500 ml bottle but we bought it anyway because we were desperate for a drink. The room was a good size, clean and the bedding was firm and comfortable. There was no bath tub in the bathroom only shower. The sink was slow to drain. The room was quiet. The breakfast was nothing special but adequate. The hotel is located a few minutes walk to the Presidential palace.

Good modern business hotel, centrally located in Bratislava close to presidential palace and old town (only a few minutes away - walking distance), nice modern rooms, helpful staff, I can only recommend it!

Very good hotel in a great location. It's right next to the crown plaza across from the palace, however the entrance is round the back street. We arrived late and had no trouble with check in as it's a 24hr reception. A taxi will either drop you off at the end of th e road about 50m or down into the carpark underneath where you get lift. The hotel is a 5minute walk to the Center and all the bars and restaurants, although there is a cafe bar right across the way which is cheap and restaurants/ cafes on both sides. The casino is 50m away in the crown plaza hotel. The train station is a 10minute walk up passed the palace where you can get a train to Vienna for €18 return and takes an hour. The room was large and the bed very comfy! There is a safe in the room and a mini fridge, although the contents are quite expensive €4.50 for coke or €3.50 water (0.90 round the corner at the shop). The shower and bathroom are modern and very clean, as is the whole hotel. Can't comment on the food as we never ate here apart from the breakfast. This was excellent, the staff work hard to keep everything stocked and tidy. It was advertised as continental breakfast, but it also had ommletes made to order, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and well as a variety of serials, breads, cold meats, cheeses etc. It ran from 7am to 10am I think.....very good. The bar was advertised as open to 1am, but we never seen it open after 12pm Very good, well ran hotel and would definetly return.

Stayed at austria trend hotel for 4 nights in july 17 arrived at 11,00 o,clock at night after a very stressful day at Manchester airport after queuing for hours inside and outside dew to a suspect package Very helpful staff on desk very clean bedroom. plesent staff in the morning at breakfast and a good selection of food cereal.fruit .etc clean and well presented hotel close to Castle, centre, etc we like walking so about 5-15 mins to most sights depending which ones you wont Would I recommend austria trend hotel yes hopefully be back again

A good, modern, clean hotel with good service and located in a convenient (if not totally central) location. The staff were very helpful , and there are a few cheap supermarket type shops nearby, as well as a good range of coffee shops.

It is situated next to the old city which makes it perfect for sightseeing. It's only 10 minutes walk from a great new shopping complex - the Eurovea - which has lots of cafes and bars on the promenade by the river Danube and close to the Danube ferries. Hotel is very clean and well maintained with intriguing optical illusions on the corridor walls. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom a great standard. Breakfast was acceptable though not the best we have had in hotels - a bit disorganised - for example I waited a few minutes for bacon to be brought out but when it came it was just the thin ham that was on the cold display heated up - and not very well - it was barely luke warm. However we would still go back there if we visited Bratislava again.

Hotel is lovely, helpful guy on reception when we arrived, lovely modern hotel, spacious and super clean comfortable rooms and that is where it ends ...... Website says gluten free available on request, for breakfast, all I got was a few small bits of bread, that I had to wait 20 minutes for !!!can't eat the bacon etc, don't know what's in it plus it was all resting on slices of bread !!!! So the next day spoke to a woman on reception who told me she would sort it and find out why I wasn't offered anything else ( home now and still waiting for her to get back to me ! ) I didn't starve, there's plenty of fruits. The bar! Lovely guy on 1 day, he was really busy and couldnt apologise enough for our wait ( only 10 minutes ) the next day some large guy with a beard who I'm sure must have had to pay for the tonic himself ... I got a g&t which was same amount of gin as tonic ! Errrrgh far too strong, asked for more tonic and was told I'd have to buy another bottle !

Great hotel, clean and very modern. Fabulous location. Breakfast was good, but long queue for the coffee machine. Beds comfortable and bathroom lovely. Mini bar, air conditioning, free wifi and safe in the room. Nice stay and would recommend hotel and Bratislava. Also took a day trip to Vienna by train, definitely worth doing - 15 euro return.

this is a nicely located 4-star hotel that does not really make up for all the four stars. The service is at times really slow, the food is average and even if the hotel claims that they have training facilities it's simply two machines and a sauna (that I think you have to pre-reserve). I must say that there are tons of better hotels in Bratislava, probably also nearby. But it works if you just need a bed and breakfast and it's all about locatoin.
