Staying here for 3 nights. Nice clean hotel, lovely breakfast although a bit dated. Would recommend if you are holidaying in Bratislava. Friendly staff always helpful. Rooms and beds are comfortable and clean.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The hotel has new facade and it looks very nice. The entrance hall was clean and the receptionist checked us in and explained all necessary information. The room was nice and clean. I personally always check the bathroom first and it hasn't disappointed me. Clean and spotless bathroom with very pleasant fragrance. The room self was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. Eventhough the hotel was full the breakfast area was well equipped and the staff had filled the buffet fast and efficient. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Overall appearance of the hotel was excellent. It is walking distance (20min) from Eurovea and Danube river. I would recommend this hotel and will come back in the future. Keep up the good job.

Spent five days with party of 35 friends, various ages, mostly players in local wind band. Very impressed with the hotel., clean, comfortable, interesting features. Bedrooms spacious, lots of storage space. Free WiFi, breakfasts delicious, spoiled for choice. The only not open in evening apart from our first night. Probably a little far out of centre but plenty of buses and taxis. Can't comment on restaurant but heard good reports. Would recommend this hotel.

We were a party of 6 over 70s and found it no problem getting to and from The Old Town ,public transport or 20 minute walk ,walks along the Danube were lovely. Not much going on there in the late evening . The Apollo Hotel was clean ,comfortable ,well equipped ,the staff very helpful and the food was excellent .

First the hotel is a bit outside the historic city centre, which can still be reached by foot in 15-20 min. The hotel is ok, but a bit dated. It would not be my first choice in the four star category in Bratislava, but it is good value value for money and the staff is helpful.

This hotel is of similar standard as the uk budget hotels. The location of hotel is well away from the city centre ad not much goes around it day or night. You could hardly see anyone after 9 pm. On our first night we came back from town at 10pm and found the bar closed. Asked the reception if any bars around and were pointed to a bar opposite where locals drink. I later found out that they charge tourists double the price they do for locals! The breakfast room was of 4 star quality but annoyingly they supply you with saucer size tiny plates for hot and cold buffet food. There is no bath in the room but a tiny shower room. The shower pressure was OK. They did not provide us with clean towels on daily basis and we had to use the same towels for 3 days.

I stayed 2 days in the hotel, the showergel was topped up with water, only 1 mug for 2 people in the room however you get 2 teaspoon and 2 coffees. Housekeeping never give toilet roll or clean towels on the 2 day. I would take of one star from the hotel.

My family and I stayed here for three days whilst visiting Bratislava. One thing I will say is it is a lovely hotel but not situated in the best location. It is a taxi or bus journey away from the main station where trains from Vienna go into. You need to make sure sure you are not overpriced by the taxis as they charged us 35 euro for a taxi from the station and we were told by the hotel that it is cheaper then that. The hotel itself is lovely we were in deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor, we had a mini bar in our rooms and they were very nicely decorated. The staff are lovely. They serve breakfast and dinner in the restaurant there reasonably priced. Food is lovely. The hotel is located about a 20 min walk to Bratislava old town or there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel that will take you into the city for a very reasonable price. The bathrooms are lovely. Whilst we were there we also enjoyed the fitness suite there we got a massage for a very reasonable price and used the salt cave, you also have a sauna and a gym but these need to be pre booked at the hotel.

The room was nice, spacious and clean. It had everything you needed, but the air condition could have been more powerful. The breakfast service was great and the location of the hotel wasn't bad either. To be fair, Bratislava is not that big of a city and we could walk to wherever we needed to go. The only complaint I have is regarding the service, though I am nitpicking now. We asked to be shown around the Fitness Centre and spa (because we could not enter on our own without a reservation and wanted to see what it was like before booking anything), and was guided by someone who was probably the least motivated employee I have ever met. Just made us feel like we were a nuisance, really. The reception itself was alright at best, depending on who was manning it.

Not much to complain about in regard to the hotel in general; room had plenty of storage space and surface space, well placed mirrors, comfortable beds, fridge, bathroom with no bath but an efficient shower, hairdrier etc. Sadly the air conditioning made no difference at all in what was a mini heatwave during our stay and the room was very hot and airless. Breakfast offered plenty of choice with no frills (such as a nice man to make you an omelette) and it was all help yourself. The breakfast room does need a more industrial toaster though! There is a nice outside bar/coffee area which faces the lovely fountain but it does not open until 11am. The biggest gripe was that none of the staff seemed to actually want to talk to the guests, the worst being those at reception. We arrived before the 'official' check in time had our booking confirmation virtually thrown back across the desk at us and told to come back at 2pm. All done without an apology or a smile. A young guy also at reception seemed to take pity on us and offered to store our luggage in a back office. Throughout our stay the reception staff avoided all eye contact as we walked by as if they were terrified we might actually want to talk to any of them. I tried smiling but again, there was little response. I'm being generous in suggesting this could all be because English is not so widely spoken in Bratislava. The hotel square is lovely but the location itself is far removed from the old town and the grassy banks of the Danube. It is a 20 to 30 minute walk there; a walk which involves crossing several six lane roads and some construction areas. I wouldn't choose this hotel again, mainly because of the area of the city where it is located.
