Basic hotel. Was clean, beds comfortable. Continental breakfast was minimal. Cold cereal, toast or bagels, Hostess style donut holes and thawed frozen waffles with a single home toaster to heat all. If you’re looking for a comfortable clean hotel at a reasonable price this will work for you.

The photos displayed on the booking website did not match what the actual hotel is like. We had to switch rooms because the first room was so dirty (not cleaned, no sheets on the bed, blood stains on the mattress and hair/debris). There were also no towels in the room, no soap, and the coffee pot was recently used with coffee still inside. The second room was also dirty; I made the bed myself by getting sheets from staff. The entire place smelled musty and of mold. The hotel room was constantly dank and smelled. Most of the lights were not plugged in, and the plug ins were behind large pieces of furniture. The chairs and couch in the room had stains on them. The carpet had tears in some areas (transition from the bathroom to the room). The doors barely shut; you had to muscle them to close. The shower was stained brown. The ceiling was dusty and looked like it had previous water damage. I will never stay here again.

A good location, but needs updating

I went to the Cuyuna area for mountain biking and needed a place to stay. The hotel was a fair price and the person who checked me in was friendly, attentive & was well suited for the job. However, the first room I went to smelled of smoke and the second one smelled of mildew. The bed was comfortable, but if there were other options in the immediate area I would not stay here again.

The pool & hottub were very nice. Room smelled like stale smoke, the entry door to our room stuck and was really hard to open, the sheets did not fit the double beds, looked like single bed sheets were used. The TV did not work as you could not turn up the sound at all. The fee for a dog seemed high at almost $40.00.

Didn't likes: A new guest being given my room key!!!! Being told when I called it would be $50.00 more than I saw online ( he said they had a cost increase) so I reserved online! Filthy air-conditioner and filter Cracked ceiling coating, dirty,dusty baseboards Adhisive tub-mat disintegrating Old coffee filter in the coffee maker Only bread and rebagged donuts and dry cereal for continental breakfast. Big pothole in entry of lot. Like convenient location,newer carpet, chair, ... Polite man at desk, very inexperienced. Lots of hot water for shower, appliances worked fridge was cold. Several vending machines. Very quiet other than the morning train whistle across the road.

Booked a two queen room and was given a two double and there were no other rooms available. The room smelled extremely strong of cigarette smoke to the point where my nose was plugged and my clothes and hair smelled after leaving. It's supposed to be a non-smoking property. The continental breakfast did not have silverware left and was very picked over even with 2 hours remaining open. Smell is biggest complaint. Staff member was nice at check in.

There wasn’t a real blanket on the bed it was more like a drape that was as thin as a sheet so we were very cold all night. Half the lightbulbs in the bathroom were missing and you couldn’t see in the shower. The mattress was super firm. The staff was excellent and the rest of the place was super nice.

Friendly staff & clean but Very musty-moldy smelling, which is not very healthy…I used scented spray which helped for a while, but dissipated quickly so you were breathing unhealthy air. Also privacy curtains did not close completely due to pleat hooks missing. Overall for the & wasn’t bad but wasn’t healthy air to breathe.

Our stay started off with a defective remote control. The week-end staff was unable to figure out a fix to the problem or a replacement. The next day I was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub. Someone forgot to turn the heater on the recently filled spa so the water was cold. The motel looked well occupied but the morning breakfast was meager for that large group of people. The styrofoam coffee cups ran out early along with hot water in the urns. An empty coffee urn soon followed.

As soon as we entered the room we could smell smoke and mold! There was a fine coating of dust and mold on the bedside furniture, headboard, and behind the furniture. The ironing board even had mold on it! Honestly the most unhealthy place on earth! The bathroom floor wasn't scrubbed, or the bath fixtures. There were urine/feces splatters on the toilet! We couldn't sleep due to the poor quality of the air...it actually made us cough. We spoke to the hotel staff, and they told us to Call Expedia to cancel our res. Expedia did ZERO to help us and told us to contact the hotel!! We were told the hotel manager was in meetings all day and unable to speak with us. We had to leave and stay elsewhere, but still paid for these disgusting rooms. We will NOT be using Expedia in the future.

NEVER EVER stay here!! As soon as we entered our room, we could smell smoke and mold. There was a fine powder of mold on the bedside table and the bottom of the headboard. They didn't even bother to dust!!! Or wash the bathroom floor or fixtures! Absolutely disgusting. There aren't adequate words! We have reported them to the MN Dept. of Health! (Along with pictures) We couldn't stay here because the mold made us cough. We were unable to get a refund. We were told the manager was in meetings all day.
