This home is set up for a large family, group of friends or small family reunion. No expense was spared on the quality and beautiful furnishings. Bedroom 4: 2 full size beds (can be moved to be separate or "bunk" style), in downstairs walkout level

The couch in this room is also a queen sleeper sofa for additional sleeping. On this same lower level is a large bedroom with 2 full beds (they can be bunk style or easily moved for separate sleeping). There is a reading nook, a bathroom with shower, and laundry room on this level.
Head upstairs to the "middle/ main" level and you find expansive picture windows with gorgeous views of the Crazy and Absaroka Mountains. A state of the art Tulkivi soap stone fireplace and stove anchor the living and dining room. Seating for 8 and cozy couches and chairs for games and visiting. Children and adults alike can roam the property, explore and are sure to see wildlife - deer, elk and even a potential bear.
All of this but you are only 10ish minutes to downtown Livingston on a gravel road, where you can dine, shop, drink, and dance - one of the last true western towns. You are only a 50 minute drive to Yellowstone National Park - an easy and beautiful distance for day trips into Yellowstone.

The "Wineglass" Area just south and west of Livingston's downtown is known for it's amazing views of the end of the Absaroka Mountain Range and the Crazy Mountains 40 miles away. You can see Livingston, the mountains and even West towards Bozeman from the home. Jackalope Lodge is located at the end of a maintained "dirt" road, off of a longer dirt road that leads residents to the mountainous "Wineglass Loop" subdivisions. With a few other neighbor homes as you head down the road. While "neighbors" are close enough should you need them, you do not feel like you are in a neighborhood, but "away from it all" with the simple convenience of a 10 minute, scenic drive to town.
In the winter, the roads are maintained but drifts are likely when it's windy. Always have a 4WD vehicle to access the home. Garbage service is not available at this location, there are several places nearby to dispose of your bagged garbage, a map will be provided.

The home is a few miles off the paved roads on a dirt road that can be bumpy. Please observe speed limits and look out for pedestrians, wildlife and pets.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 3.5 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a sofa bed. Housekeeping is available on request.

Yellowstone / Rodeo Vacation

Jackalope’s location was both beautiful and convenient to both Livingston and Bozeman. Livingston downtown is a piece of old west with a great selection of restaurants, shops and saloons!Had a great time, horseback riding, boat rides, balloon rides and of course the annual Livingston Roundup Rodeo and parade. Jackalope was perfect for our family of 10! An added attraction at the house was a Ring Neck Pheasant that adopted us! It followed us about the yard for the entire time. We nicknamed him “Phil”. Hope he stays for the next visitors!

Lotta beds, not a lotta space

Nice property and location for a family with littles. The common areas are too small for a dozen adults in the dead of winter.

5 Star Views

The house was perfect for our grown family of 4. Great cooking kitchen, super comfortable beds, and lots of fun games of pool in the loft. The views are breathtaking. It’s a pretty windy location up on the mountain, but the house is warm and inviting!

Amazing!

Breathtaking views from every angle on the deck, plenty of fun and games for the whole family with the pool table and games at the cabin already! They even left peanut brittle and coffee on the counter for us! I am already planning my next visit!

Beautiful and secluded

We had a fantastic time at this property. It was actually more beautiful than the pictures gave it credit for. Everything was clean and comfortable. My only caution would be that there is no active air filtration in the house (no A/C). This was never an expectation we had because very few mountain homes have A/C in the area. However, with the smoke and poor air quality we experienced during part of our stay, it would have been nice to close up all the windows and filter air through an HVAC system. Other that that, everything was terrific. I highly recommend this location to anyone who is interested in the Bozeman/ Livingston areas.

Views and breezes - really nice!

This was a family get together with grown children and their spouses and children. The house is built on a really open and pretty floor plan. Very spacious. Frankly, I loved the basement bedroom as it was the coolest in the house. Decks or covered porches on all four sides of the house (one is off the master on the top floor). This area of Montana is known to be breezy which I have to say was really nice in the summer time. The views were spectacular. The Wineglass community sits on a bench above the city of Livingston and just off of the Paradise Valley, so we were looking at vast vistas in all directions except Canyon Mountain immediately to the south. Great views of the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains to the southeast and the Crazies to the north. Lots of foodies among us, and the kitchen was well stocked with wonderfully sharp knives and a broad assortment of cooking paraphernalia. Pool table on the third floor for some evening entertainment when we chose not to ride into town which was less than ten minutes down the hill. Fun trip to the bottom of the hill to a draft horse rescue center (United in Light). Great mornings on the Yellowstone River with Sweatwater guides Brad, Shawn and Evan. Did the Pine Creek Lake trail -- really nice, but when you think you've packed enough water, pack more (or take a filter pump). This is a terrific place for a family or friends to rendezvous. Thanks Brooke and Deena!
