We loved staying at the home on Bowen Island. The view was incredible, the fireplace was wonderful, and the couches and beds were incredibly comfortable. Everyone had such deep and long sleeps. The quiet was so necessary for our family from the city who needed a place to just have peace. Our communication with the host was great. One of the fire alarms was beeping and we weren't able to shut it off. The host attended to it as soon as they could and we didn't have any more problems with it for the rest of the stay. One issue, which the host had noted on their information booklet left inside the home, was the stovetop elements worked only on one side of the stove. This made cooking big meals a bit more challenging. As well, the stovetop was operated all by electric buttons which had noise sensors which beeped anytime there was dishes sitting on the stovetop or if the stovetop reached a certain temperature. This was a bit troublesome, but again, the host had communicated that this would happen in their booklet. All in all, we absolutely loved this home. We recommend using the fire every night. We were able to talk, laugh, and share stories on the couches while watching the logs burn. It was a wonderful place to rest during the holidays as a family. Thank you to the host. *Also, the home is a lovely walk from Tunstall Beach and we enjoyed walking there together during the day and looking for rocks and shells, and taking in the beautiful views. This was a lovely memory. Thank you.
