After reading the reports some had put on here I was a little apprehensive but I needn’t of been . The hotel is a little dated but my room was warm , comfortable and large with plenty of hot water. The restaurant staff were all friendly and eager to help and the food was excellent and plenty of it. As for the messages of the hotel being home to asylum seekers I saw no evidence of this , most of the guests were on bus tours .
Came for business, booked here since it was cheapest deal I could find. Room was massive and we'll equipped. Tea/coffee, TV, hairdryer, sofa etc.. Was also clean. Reason for 3 stars is just quality, it needs a refurbishment really. Walls need painting, carpets need replacing and the furnitchure is dated and old.
I normally dont like leaving negative reviews on Trip Adviser but on this occasion, if only my partner and I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor before we stayed at the Heathlands Hotel, we would have been spared the discomfort of staying there. The bathroom was dirty, the TV didn't work, and despite letting the manager know, nothing was done. Whilst we weren't expecting a five star room, we did expect the room we had booked to be clean. We ended up asking the manager if he could provide us with some cleaning materials so that we could at least clean the bathroom. Don't stay at this hotel. Staying there spoiled our stay in Bournemouth, which is a beautiful place.
My partner &I needed a last minute stop over on our way to Brighton. This hotel came up at a bargain price. It was comfortable &clean.Breakfast was good.Staff were friendly & helpful. Fulfilled out needs.
Was taught early in life that you get what you pay for, this was a timely reminder. Really is too bad to go into detail, go at your own risk. If you're already there and need somewhere close to eat at night try the Overcliff pub in the Suncliff Hotel, 5 mins walk along clifftop to the left
I booked a family room 202 which when we arrived was given the response " well it's only for one night it will do". On closer inspection, the decor was dated, the kids beds creaked when they breathed, I gave discovered our kind da breathe a lot. The bath had been painted to hide the fact it was a pink bath suite and this was peeling. The shower dribbled out of the head. The TV was very small and fuzzy. We discovered at about 11pm that the hotel had placed our " family room" between several rooms containing drunken and loudly shouting young women with potty mouths. I don't blame these inconsiderate loud mouthed bints for keeping us up with door slamming and their colourful language but the hotel for putting us near them. I didn't think this room was particularly cheap and don't understand why people say that you get what you pay for as I paid for a place to sleep and I didn't get that.
Awful The room is outdated and scruffy the bathroom is in need of a refurbish and need to sort out a he plumbing The bed has seen better days maybe 1940s And there is a charge for parking Staff are unfriendly Do not recommend
we decided to finish our holiday by having 3 days in lovely Bournemouth. We was told we could check in at 3pm as we did, then got told to pay £3 per day for parking our car, (which was cheaper than paying on the street i must admit). i knew from the start i had made a mistake in booking this hostel (i mean hotel). the carpets were dated and not hoovered. the furniture was torn. as we went up to our room we could smell stale smoke, bearing in mind a non smoking hotel, we got to our room 113 openend the door and ow my word it hit us, it was disgusting it looked like a hostel the bed was dirty the pillows had stains the walls looked as though they needed a good lick of paint, it was disgusting. i went down to reception and asked for the manager to come to the room. i showed him the cigarette papers that was under the bed, every thing he was very apologetic, i said i wanted a cleaner in asap. i was offered a refund to find another hotel. I refused as i didnt want to waste my last 3 days looking for another hotel, so we complementary dinner. I must admit the breakfast was good but the dinners slop. I also felt i was in a rest home for the elderly, they was the best thing about the holiday.
Having read the reviews we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We booked at the last minute having been very disappointed in a previous B&B close to this hotel which we found to be dirty and smelly. We left after the first night having booked for two without a refund it was so bad. We arrived and found that we had been upgraded to a suite from a twin bedded room. It was so good to have nice cotton sheets and a fresh clean room after our previous nights experience. The beds were comfortable if a little firm. The room had all the facilities such as tea and coffee making equipment and a reasonable sized TV. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. So contrary to what others may be saying we thought this Hotel was good and very comfortable!!
Booked a room last minute disappointed was a understatement, very overpriced at £108 no breakfast included , had to side shuffle around the room it was so small the bath was in need of a clean of paint splashed over the floor , the dressing table was under the window with no mirror or chair as you could not possibly fit a chair in . We made a visit to the 70 styled bar and was told we could only pay by cash and if we paid by card we would have to go to reception ridiculous , there was no parking left at the front on the hotel !!! So was told we could park at the back with a £3.00 charge , again very disappointed 😔
