The first issue was with the parking space which is extremely small. The lady that welcomed us was able to do a swap with another guest that had a small Citroen. Then we were taken to the studio which seemed OK at first, But cleanliness was an issue, we tried to clean the kitchen area but when a grain beetle flew out from under the hob we realised that a deep clean was required. The dingy shower room is in need of refurbishment and the bedding is old and stained. Without a headboard the wall behind the bed was also grubby. The only positive I can give is the view from the balcony which is very good and distracts your attention from the condition of the studio initially, The hollow railing was attracting wasp activity and I suspect there was a nest within it.We made the decision to leave after about 30 minutes, despite not having alternative accommodation, because we didn't want to use the kitchen, sleep in the bed or take a shower. Having travelled to France for many years and staying in all types of property, I have never felt the need to leave a property. We contacted the owner as soon as possible and asked for a refund but he refused insisting the apartment was as described. To add insult to injury there was no WIFI which is very unusual.
