Return visit for a romantic weekend with hubby in Pullman Bordeaux. Very very disappointed, the hotel lobby and bar is still lovely but it goes downhill from there. The walls wood work and carpets around the hotel and marked, stained, chipped and battered everywhere. The room rate was 156e per night. We declined breakfast at the overpriced cost of 26e each. The car parking is a further 8e per day. Not cheap so we expected cleanliness and comfort The room we were given was 362. It had a foul pungent smell. The cream carpets were stained all over, no soap to wash hands and only one pair of slippers between 2. I went to reception and said I was unhappy with the room. I was immediately offered another upgraded and refurbished room. The receptionist was lovely and helpful and took me to inspect room 422. The decor and bathroom fittings were pleasantly upgraded and there was no odour but once again the carpet had huge stains. I said this was unacceptable for this price per night and I was advised it was because it had not been fully refurbished. Once again no soap and one set of slippers which I was assured would be rectified, they never arrived. We went to use the pool. It was not heated. Just a few seats and loungers and every one was taken, very few parasols or shade. We, and other guests had to sit on the concrete and my husband had to get shade from a potted plant. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, it was clearly hard and worn so the mattress had been covered in a duvet, this caused us to overheat despite the air con and we had an uncomfortable nights' sleep. On checkout we were assured that when the hotel was refurbished the standard would be higher in every room and new carpets were to be laid. We would not have booked in the hotel if we knew it was in such a worn condition. The hotel management did make a generous deduction on our bill Hopefully the refurbishment will bring this hotel back up to a good standard but until then it is grossly overpriced.

We booked two superior twin rooms at this hotel for three nights in mid July 2017. When we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed with the reception area which looks fantastic but you will find that it all goes downhill from there! At reception we were asked if we would prefer double rooms and so we agreed to make the change. When we got to the third floor where we were allocated rooms 373 and 375 we were surprised to find the carpeting in the hallway was dirty and shabby. On entering the rooms we found the carpets in both were badly stained and the interior of the wardrobes were dirty and there were watermarks and stains on the cealing. Some of the wallpaper was peeling and the bed mattress was lumpy. I asked the housekeeper if these were sperior rooms and she confirmed they were not. Accordingly I went down to reception to complain and the senior receptionist argued that they were superior rooms. However, he refused my request to show me a superior room and when he realised I was not going to be fobbed off he agreed to upgrade us to deluxe rooms. These rooms were better but we were still disgusted to find the carpets were badly stained. We went to the bar for a drink before going into Bordeaux and ordered two gin and tonics and two pints of Heineiken. The cost was 48 Euros! You can look hard in this hotel but it was impossible to find a bar tariff. In our opinion this was a complete rip-off and no doubt like many other patrons we never visited it again. The pool area is too small for the size of the hotel and the toilets and entrance are not up to an adequate standard. This is probably one of the worst Accord Group hotels we , just like the carpeting. This hotel could do with an infusion of new management who understand what it takes to develop a good reputation. We would never go back.

We decided to stay here as a good base with parking facilities and easy access to town, after reading some previous reviews I was a little apprehensive about the hotel but we had a fantastic stay. The parking is secure and reasonably priced for a hotel. On arrival we were helped with luggage and taken to reception where we were given an unexpected but greatly appreciated upgrade. The suite was lovely with double bath and stand alone shower and separate seating area and further loo, overlooking the lake.(great view of the black kites). The manager was really helpful to my mum who has walking difficulties showing her a different way to get to the roof top heated pool and gave some great restaurant recommendations. I can't say what the other rooms are like as we didn't see any but I believe that they are going to refurbish all the rooms. Tram is across the road and goes direct into Bordeaux for €1.50 e/w.Don't be put off the reviews make your own mind up and if you have any problems the staff are extremely helpful. Only downside was the aircon but everything else lovely.

Nice clean tidy hotel, nice small rooms. Restaurant not open at Weekends. Great parking to use the great Tram Service. Great place for a day out in Bordeaux so much to see. The hotel is ideally placed with the Tram out side the front door, lovely place for an evening walk around the lake.

Fantastic staff. Reception we received when arriving and the help given the next day was first class, a nice swimming pool and a good restaurant. Only negative point is air conditioning (not very good). I would go back their just to experience that level of service again.

Good Hotel if you go to Vinexpo exposition. Just across the lake. You walk through the bridge aproximately 2 km and you will arrive to Vinexpo. The infraestructure of the hotel is very good, except the air condition in the room we had. I was really LOUSY! This ruins the perfomace of the hotel. I was not possible to sleep because of the HOT room. We complained about this buy they couldn't solved. It is a pity that they can't resolved after the price they charged to us. This has been happening at least twice in the past. The staff is attentive and they tried to solve the problem, not posible. The restaurant and the service very good.

we rented the room 427 for 4 nights at an overpriced rate of almost 550$ the night. Its mid june and the temperature is at 38°. To our surprise, We found out that the ac is not working. We complained to the reception but no action was taken. This is not acceptable and it is a very bad experience. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is part of a famous group of European hotels. Nothing stunning, but ok. Lots of amenities available, including a wellness center, a very small gym (unforunately the main machine was broken during my stay) and a nice outdoor pool. This is outside the city of Bordeaux but you can be there by the train C in 15 minutes. Moreover, being outside the city has its own advantages: for example, the stunning view on the Lake in front of the hotel. I sincerely believe that a room with lake view is mandatory! Really appreciated the (N)espresso machine in the room! The staff is overall kind with some exceptions... Good breakfast...not a perfect restaurant, but...we are in France and I'm Italian...

After a poor start to our trip to Bordeaux, we secured a last minute room here and it was wonderful. Ocean on reception was welcoming and very helpful. It seems a long way out of the centre but the light rail is just across the road and cost just 1.5 euros for a 15 minute trip to the heart of Bordeaux. Room was extremely comfortable with robes and slippers provided. Coffee pod machine in the room. Room service is available 24/7 but the restaurant is not open often. Snack type meals available in the cocktail lounge were again the staff were very friendly. Prices on par with the type of hotel. Food that we did have was good. Great view of the lake from the room. If weather is fine the path next to lake is a good walk under mulberry trees. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Positive : Parking lot - Close to public transportation - Quiet - Friendly staff Negative : Hotel restaurant is close on weekend ! - No proper changing room, lockers for swimming pool. Rooms are quite old and need to be refreshed (no rain shower,no thermostatic shower, Stain on the carpet and bathroom) - No upgrade even if we were Platinum - No executive lounge.
