Beautiful view! Beautiful home! Kitchen was wonderful and very well stocked! My adult kids & grandkids stayed in the condo for Thanksgiving and they had absolutely everything they needed to prepare their dishes for the meal! Property owners were very attentive as well!

Our second trip this fall staying at this wonderful condo. We have been extremely satisfied and would highly recommend. Mary & Doug have a lovely home in a beautiful setting - our favorite stay in Boone. Mary keeps in touch and ensures all is well. Be sure to read their guide book and guest suggestions. Very helpful.

Loved being on the top of the mountain with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain! The location felt central to everywhere we wanted to explore. Mary is a gracious hostess and the condo is immaculate and comfortable. I wish we’d planned to cook because the kitchen is well stocked and the deck and grill set up would have made for the best sunset dinners. We hope to be back for a longer stay.

This property is beautiful with stunning views of Grandfather Mountain. Every aspect was 5 stars - communication with owners was prompt and attention to detail from cleanliness to the well stocked kitchen (coffee bar, water bottles in the fridge) and the welcome basket (so thoughtful) was far above anywhere we have stayed in Boone! The owner provided guide book was very helpful - recommended dining, hiking, shopping! Truly - Mary & Doug have provided a peaceful and beautiful retreat. We highly recommend and will definitely return.

The Red Tail Nest is an amazing property and one of the nicest properties at which we have stayed. Check in was super easy and the host (Mary) had everything set up for us. The views of Boone and the surrounding areas are amazing! The property is even nicer in person than the pictures show! Everything was super clean and very well organized. Great location with easy access to Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and Linville Falls. Overall, we had an excellent time and hope to return again soon!

Family summer vacation

We loved this property. The check in process was so easy (which was appreciated after a long drive). And after walking into the property the first thing you see is that view! Beautiful and better than the pictures. The property was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is clear that the owners put a lot of thought and care into making this property feel like a home… and it does. The welcome book that is there for guests has a lot of great information including recommendations for restaurants. We took several of those recommendations and honestly did not have a bad meal out! We were so thankful after days of hiking, biking, and atv riding that we had this place to come back too!

The pictures of this amazing condo do not do it justice. It is by far the nicest, cleanest, most organized place I have EVER stayed. They thought of EVERYTHING!!! Will definitely being renting again! Such a pleasure to deal with Carol. The views of Grandfather mountain are amazing from the balcony.

Mountainside Peace

Absolutely wonderful! The property itself is immaculate and very well maintained - very nice touches, it's obvious the owners enjoy the space as well as rent it. The location was great to get to the things we wanted to do, etc. including hiking, movies, shopping, etc. Will definitely come back here!

Luxury with a view!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The communication from Doug and Mary was prompt and very clear. The property was extremely clean and organized. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and just felt like HOME from the moment you stepped onto the entrance deck! They have paid attention to every detail. The best part was the changing views of the mountains throughout the day! We spent a lot of family time enjoying the cool weather, playing board games and cards by the fire. Making dinners in the stocked kitchen. She even had a croc pot which was helpful in having chili ready after a day out adventuring! We enjoyed the back balcony and mixed in some walks around the property! The kids favorite part of the trip was snow tubing at Hawksnest. We found a few playgrounds to also get energy out in Seven Devils and Blowing Rock. Enjoyed some coffee from Bald Guys Coffee in downtown blowing rock. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy a different season in the mountains enjoying God’s creation!

Fantastic Stay for Thanksgiving and anytime

My family and I stayed in this beautiful condo during Thanksgiving. It was beautiful! The condo had everything we needed and the condo's view of the mountains was breathtaking. The furnishings were classy and so cozy. Even though the condo was on top of the mountain, it is still very close to shops and restaurants. We definitely will come back!

Breathtaking view

Red Tail Nest is spectacular. It is comfortable and beautifully decorated with attention to small details. They have thought of everything. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to grill on the deck while enjoying the spectacular mountain view. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. The host reached out to make sure everything was just right and was very responsive to any questions. You will not be disappointed!

Exceeded expectations

We had a wonderful visit at Red Tail Summit. From the personalized welcome note and gift basket, fully stocked coffee bar, and overall cleanliness of everything far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, 15 minutes from sugar mountain and 23 minutes from blowing rock. We will definitely come back.
