The city of Boone has a mask mandate, and the hotel states this on the front door, yet many staff members were not wearing masks, and guests without masks were not asked to wear one. Yet at the same time, we were told our room couldn’t be cleaned during our stay because of pandemic safety concerns. This is ironic, considering the staff wasn’t even doing the bare minimum, like masking, when it comes to pandemic safety. As a result we felt very unsafe due to their complete disregard for Boone’s and the hotel’s own safety policies. As a side note, one cleaning staff member who was not masked was wearing a highly inappropriate racist shirt while at work. Much of the staff at this place needs an overhaul.

The Fairfield Inn is convenient and easy to get into and out of from the road. It is clean and comfortable but I could use a little softer bed.

One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Room was a bit small but ok for one night. The floor we were on was very quiet. The breakfast was standard continental. My only complaint was that the sausage was pink. When I spoke with the attendant she stated that it is precooked and they only steam it to warm. Not willing to take a chance on undercooked pork! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
It was so awesome experience for staying there :) I strongly recommend!!
Found a last minute room here and it was of course overpriced but considering it was last minute it was better than we thought it would be priced! The hotel was nice and clean and very conveniently located for us but I was really surprised it didn't have a hot tub, the pool was really cold, and the pool was really small :(
Nice room, nice people!! Would and will absolutely stay again. Close to app ski resort, beech and sugar are an easy ride too. Me and my wife had a great time!! Be back soon

Good value for the money. We came to Boone for the night and needed a couple of rooms. Staff and cleanliness were very good, and breakfast, room and facilities were definitely worth the money. There are nicer places to stay in the High Country, but none at this reasonable of a price.
A very nice experience, just too short. We hiked and played in the streams outside Boone. Pool was a little small and gym needed some updated equipment.
The "King" bed was questionable in size, we have a King at home and this one was no King, probably a queen, but I didn't get out the tape measure. The TV signal in the room was NOT GOOD. Most channels were snowy but still viewable; some channels were not viewable at all. The room smelled bad, a moldy or mildew smell. At 7:30am the fire alarm went off because of the kitchen and after that we couldn't go back to sleep.
Staff were great and and accomodating, room was clean and location is perfect if you want a location close to good restaurants and in the close to Blowing Rock, GMtn, Banner Elk and Boone.
We booked this hotel because we hoped it would be near Tweetsie Railroad. It was just down the street. This hotel is in a great location.

The room was clean and comfortable. Internet was down for a while. I asked the front desk for help and they fixed them quickly.
We had to wait almost 3 hours to check-in. Our room was not availible. There were no do not disturb signs. We requested to the front desk no one go in our room and came back from lunch and the maids had been in our room. ugh
