Our Happy Place
We want "Our Happy Place" to feel like your home away from home. We are close to town with a secluded mountain feel. With a 10 min. drive to Tweetsie RR, less than 10 min to downtown and less than a 40 min drive to Grandfather; we are convenient to lots of hiking trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Don't miss spring in the high country! Our home is a great 'base camp' for your outdoor activities, whether those adventures are hiking, biking, shopping or sightseeing.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Great place, but quirky doorknobs
House was as described. Perfect location. Very convenient to App State, downtown, the Parkway. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Front porch and back deck were lovely. The exterior doorknobs were difficult to open. Saturday morning two of the three doors couldn’t be opened from the inside. I went outside via the garage to open the front door and found myself unable to open any exterior door to get back in. My family finally realized I was outside and couldn’t get in. You have to jiggle the doorknobs.
