Great location, not walkable to Downtown Blowing Rock though… and parking in downtown is pretty rough. The resort was nice as was our “condo” rental although our unit needed some updates, faucets, vanity, cabinets etc Staff was great!

The condo was and amenities were great! However, since we didn’t book directly with the resort, we were unable to change our 3 bedroom rental to ensure we had one room with two twins and had to pivot on sleeping arrangements with guests that didn’t want to share beds.

Where to start… My husband and I took our first vacation in years. Upon arrival, we were shocked to see that they were draining the lake. Nowhere on the website did they disclose that they were doing so. Had we known this, we would have chosen to stay at another resort. The condo was dated and dirty. The shower was cracked and stained. We found goldfish crackers under the bed left by another guest. Our sheets had stains on them so we slept on the couch. The porch light was burned out, we notified guest services but no one came to change the bulb out which made it very hard to see trying to get back into our room at night. Absolute waste of money. We will not be going back.

We have stayed at Chetola for years. We love it, the staff and great. The property is kept up so well and a lovely walk into blowing rock very easy. Relaxing.

While it was a nice condo, it needed some refreshing at 24 years of age. The bathroom tiles were badly cracked. Fixtures were old. Bed and pillows were kind of sorry. There were to tables or lamps in the living area. Too bad if you’d like to have a glass of tea or wine, or a cup of coffee, while you read or watch tv.

Loved the property. Should offer cook to order breakfast. My eggs and bacon were cold by the time I got from the buffet to the table. Most buffet breakfast have someone to cook your legs to order. That was my only complaint. Staff was great.

Check-in staff were very friendly and efficient. Condo, Wren 303, was clean and functional, but very dated. Locks are awkward. Faucets look original and very hard to use. Cupboards are old and warped. Kickboard under the bathroom sink is peeling. Meals in the restaurant were very good, but seemed over-priced. We had to pay a 20% gratuity just for the two of us. Restaurant staff were very friendly, though we were forgotten about a few times.

The first condo they put us in they were redoing the roof at 7:30 am. They moved us to a new one in a different construction zone that had signs danger keep out. We left early. The grounds are beautiful but the management not so great if they stick people in condos with active construction going on.

Beautiful property!

Beautiful property! There are lots of amenities offered, but we weren’t aware that we were there during the “off season”. Be sure to check the seasonal dates. There’s an indoor pool & spa, and a good, but pricey restaurant open year around. We had a problem with the dishwasher & they sent a repairman quickly. We stayed in a 4 bed/bath condo & it was PLENTY room for our family of 7! Only complaint, there is no shuttle service from your unit to the main activity area.
