We needed cleaning in our room due to an accident. The young lady came in to take care of cleaning. My husband and I were both in the room and the door was open. The head housekeeper (HH) came in and berated the young lady in front of us about being in the room with us (she apparently was a new employee). My husband told the HH we didn't mean to get the young lady in trouble. The HH told us very bluntly (rudely) that either the young maid had to leave or we had to leave. My husband went to the front desk to lodge a complaint. The HH came and kept interrupting him and saying he was wrong. He wagged his finger at her saying, "You don't treat your staff that way." The HH told him not to raise his hand to her. She was similarly rude to me when I told them we were not staying because of the situation. I called corporate from the lobby. No one was there but me and the young lady at the desk. I was told, even speaking on the phone in a normal tone of voice, that I was disturbing the guests down the hall. I was then told that we had been loud early this morning disturbing guests. I responded that this was harassment and reported all of this to corporate.
Overall great experience
Convenient to freeway.
Way to overpriced for not having hardly any amenities. No weight room, no pool, breakfast was a joke, not clean. Yet charged the same as a nice hotel with all those amenities
Easy access to the freeway. Courteous and accomodating crew.
Price was really high compared to what I paid in January when I was there. January was $75 for the night. I paid $172 this time! Why such a big difference?
Ample clean room
Freeway construction in progress at the time of my stay. When completed, noise should be considerably lessened.
Good location for my purposes. Property in good condition, clean, decent area. Restaurant across the street. Not a walk to shopping area. Would stAy there again.
Nice spot. There is a lot of construction surrounding it, but the noise wasn’t terrible. Rate was great. Check in was painless. Staff was great. Room was clean. For the price, you can’t go wrong.
We arrived early evening - check in process was smooth. Construction all around the hotel, including the parking lot which caused some parking issues late at night but we were always able to find a spot eventually. Opened the door to our room & we were greeted with a VERY strong chemical cleaner type smell. Strong enough that our kids were gagging and we all had headaches within minutes. Asst manager was as helpful as he could be, but they were full and most other area hotels were full. We opened the window and left for a bit to see if that helped. We came back & the room smelled like a combo of the cleaner plus sewage. We again talked to the asst manager who told us it was likely the smell from the sugar beet plant. Again, he was friendly but we were stuck since there weren’t any other lodging options. There was no hot tub at this hotel, despite orbitz advertising one, so that was also disappointing. The hotel was a bit loud - right by freeway & busy roads, plus some noise from other rooms (dogs barking, etc) but overall okay. Beds were old and saggy but again, okay. Everything appeared to be clean, just old. Breakfast in the morning was disappointing. We were given brown bag breakfasts (due to Covid) of granola bars, hard boiled eggs (that were impossible to peel), fruit snacks, & an apple the first day. The 2nd day they were out of fruit. I get the reasoning behind the bag breakfasts, but this was a bag of snacks.
Nice property for the price. Clean updated room. It’s a super 8, so I wasn’t expecting as nice a room as we got. Staff were friendly.
The staff was nice and amazingly helpful. It was clean very well maintained.
There is a $200 deposit for room if you live locally. They say it is in the hotel policy. I looked and says $50 but no mention of the $200. Guests should not be suprised by this deosit especially if they pay through another sourse.
Okay, a bit noisy as close to the freeway but that was expected so can't blame the motel for that.
