Cottonwood Suites Boise Riverside Downtown

The air conditioner is loud and couldn't quite regulate temp. Put towels over unit to slow down breeze. GPS needed to find location. Rooms are spacious, river view rooms you can sit on balcony!! Bicycle trail behind hotel for walking, etc is a plus. Hearty breakfast served. Staff knowledgeable about downtown eateries.

we stayed at Cottonwood two nights at a relatively in expensive rate. The hotel shows some wear but our rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. breakfast is bacon & eggs & waffles along with an assortment of cereals

Stayed previous night at a Hilton Garden Inn and that set me up for disappointment. The place didn't feel clean and was heavily used by families, including mine. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was OK but missing any appetizing fresh fruit or more healthy offerings. Breakfast staff were very active in keeping items stocked and the room clean. I was disappointed because I didn't read the dates Orbitz was offering and was expecting a much lower price. If you are checking prices using a smart phone and it's the end of a long day you might see a much cheaper price for some date 2 weeks in the future and think it is the price for that day. I probably would have found another hotel if not for that misunderstanding.

The room was big, had a fridge. Had a patio area at the back. Nice breakfast. The room was a little dated and the carpet had a cat pee smell.

Served our purpose very well breakfast could have been better ran out of coffee so had to go to front desk to get iy

Laundry was essential and adequate. The hotel location wasn't easy to find.

The roms were comfortable medium clean but rest of hotel is tired, dirty carpets, chipped and broken wood furniture, but in good location and right on the Boise river and bike path.

We got it when it had an one day special and for the price it was great.

This hotel is not clean. You could tell from their black carpet with specks of brown. They allow pets here and the smell of the room reminds you of that. The comforter had 2 stain that looks like blood and it's not bedbug blood. The beddings did not smelled fresh. This hotel is too big and old that management fails to keep everything at par.

The carpet in the lobby is disgustingly filthy, stains all over. The rooms are clean enough. We left a do no disturb sign on the door so as to not be bothered and to avoid having anyone come into our room (didn't need service), yet while out for a few hours mid-day we came back to a made bed and towels picked up but no new ones to replace them. While having a freshly made bed sounds good, we did not want anyone coming in as per the do not disturb sign.

It was decent motel. Everything worked out as expected.

Nice hotel. Traveling with my elderly mother and her dog. Patio door was great to walk the dog. Pool was small. Fresh eggs with the breakfast wouldhave been better. Waffles were great. Staff was friendly.

I brought my dog with me and the room was perfect. To open the sliding glass door and walk out from my room to take him to the bathroom was awesome.

Good breakfast, but a lot of noise at night. The hotel needs an upgrade, new carpet and new beds.

They need to take some time and update this hotel. 1970s style room furniture. They haven't even taken the time to remove old Shilo Inn logo from entrance way.

The view was excellent we were on the Riverside. My wife cannot use the vanity area because the lighting was so poor and flickering they were also ants on the countertop by the sink area. The staff was very friendly

I enjoyed the pool and hot tub, hospitality room (especially the unsweetened applesauce and blackberry jam!), plentiful coffee and honey/flavors of creamers, wifi and tv (Go food network/HGTV/Disney), and very warm and friendly staff at checkin and hospitality room. The only thing that would have made it better is a pack n play or crib. Maybe a long mirror in the lobby or by the hospitality room would be useful. I like the two staircases in addition to the elevator- I actually was encouraged to use the stairs!

We booked a room for two nights, non-refundable. We stayed one night and walked away from the other. I should have know when the tile floor in the elevator was cracked and broken but the 1:30 a.m. noise through the walls from the upstairs, downstairs and hall was the end. We got no sleep, the room smelled and by morning we were out at first light. Never stay at this motel, never.

we were traveling from Washington state to las vegas and stayed in boise for the night, people were great location was awesome and rooms were ok but building sucked. we were on the second floor and can hear every footstep people make upstairs let alone part of there conversations. the ceilings creaked and moaned like an old barn door. Then to top of the horrible conditions and the opportunity for us to get an early start to our venture, the group that was staying above us come back stomping around, well next thing we know we start hearing woman screaming and a large thud that seemed like someone was going to come through the ceiling, it got quiet again for about 10min and the footsteps started again for another hour, mind you that the screaming and thud happened around 12:30ish later at checkout found out there was indeed an altercation but front desk wouldn't say what happend. so if you have to stay there recommendation stay on the top floor maybe the only thing you'll have to deal with is banging on the walls instead of the creaks of an old building

First off, the place is WORN DOWN. You can tell it used to be filled with smoke and there is a grimy veneer covering the whole place. The rooms had dirty spots in the shower, holes in the walls, and other issues. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast is the worst imaginable. And the location is very far from town in a desolate part of town. Pick something better, because this place sucks.

Dear Fishhag, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I am so pleased to see you enjoyed our location and our prices. I am sorry to hear about the cleanliness issue you experienced with your room as well as the chipped wood furniture. We are presently undergoing a refresh of our property during which we will be remodeling our room furniture. However, I am very concerned about the cleanliness issue you mentioned and I will be researching further into your reservation so that I may present these specific errors to our head of housekeeping. I am extremely sorry that cleanliness concerns impacted your stay as we strive to ensure our guests are always comfortable in their rooms. Thank you, Natazja H, Front Office Manager.

Retired, I am very sorry for your experience. It appears that we have come up short on your expectations and I apologize. Dirty sheets and a bad odor are unacceptable and I am sorry this was your experience. I will use your feedback as a benchmark to get better. Again I am very sorry. Thank you for staying with us. Mag, Thank you for your assessment of our hotel. I appreciate knowing where we need improvement and it appears there is room for much improvement. I am very sorry for the condition of the carpet throughout the hotel. Additionally, we should not have entered your room when there was a do not disturb sign. Your privacy is important and I am sorry this happened. Thank you for your feedback. I will do everything I can to make sure these improvements are implemented. Thank you for staying with us. Thank you, Thomas C. General Manager
