One of Bohols best kept secrets We have visited here for dinner a few times over the last few years with friends that live in Bohol and can only say the ambiance, food and service is excellent. Always a special place to come to
We booked to stay here for four nights after reading many positive reviews. We had no regrets. It really is a special place. It feels like a private retreat, with fantastic views, soft furnishings and lovely grounds. Highlights The staff. They are FANTASTIC. Always smiling, efficient, friendly, attentive but also striking that perfect balance of being available but not too available! We didn’t grab any names specifically but we could not fault a single person. Nothing was too much trouble. These staff could work in 5* London hotels and still be exceptional. The food. It’s very very good and reasonably priced. The menu kept us interested for the four days we were here but perhaps longer we may have wanted to see other dishes - although the daily specials offered a good variety. The countryside tour. We loved it. Despite reading other reviews, it offered everything we wanted to see and we loved the river cruise. The spa - good value and very relaxing. Minor suggestions for improvements (and I do mean minor) - The fitness centre is quite tired and needs some new functioning cardio equipment. - The bags for new arriving guests are bought via the pool. I would suggest bringing these around the back so not to disturb the tranquility. Would we recommend? Absolutely. Would we stay again. Yes. Thank you Peacock Garden. Ps, to avoid disappointment there are currently no peacocks! But they are getting two this year.
We just had a pleasant and hassle-free stay with the hotel. The decoration is very unique with a truly boutique ambience. It is not what you could find in the typical modern chain-hotels, and I believe it represents the highest standard you could find on Bohol islands. The staff really took good care of us, gave detailed answers to all the questions, helped planned our trip and were super polite and nice. This has made the whole Bohol experience very pleasing and hassle-free. The tour price might be higher than what the external vendors quoted but it worth every penny! Also the hotel provides free shuttle to/from the ferry pier and we found it very useful. One point to note for visitors is to bring enof cash for activities/ transporting during the tours booked w the hotel. Coz sometimes the service provider requests you to pay cash directly to them instead of billing to your room. Overall very good experience and we are grateful for the hotel staff who took really good care of us!
This is an amazing hotel to go to. It is high quality beyond anything I expected for the price. It was so restful. The rooms are high quality and the food amazing. The ammenities are amazing - an infinity pool - great bar and quality, quality, quality - everywhere! Any British guest would be blown away by the price as well - what a laugh - so cheap for such quality in a beautiful island. I doubt I will ever go to such an amazing hotel ever again. Staff so well trained and the food exquisite and the scenery amazing and the facilities mind blowing and the hotel location breath taking and the grounds lovely - so wonderful - wonderful - heaven!
I availed of the dealgrocer voucher. 13k pesos for 3d2n inclusive of the room, free breakfast and 2000 food voucher. Almost everything was perfect. Only almost because of the food service during dinner on our 2nd night there. Food was served way slower than usual (maybe too many clients that night?). It took around at least an hour. I was a bit full from all the complimentary bread so I wasn't able to enjoy my main dish. I ordered the seafood platter, which included squid. I was surprised because when the dish was served to me, the squid wasn't even sliced. It was like they cooked the squid and just dumped in on my plate. I don't mind it not being sliced if I was eating on a local canteen, but I wasn't. I didn't let them slice it anymore since I was afraid it might took a long time for them to do it. The quality of the rice isn't good also, it seems like a low class grain served on a local canteen from the city. Same goes with the noodle of pancit canton. I was expecting higher quality since it is a top-notched resort. My advice is to order other food that doesn't involve rice or noodle. Their specialty is meat (I heard that they raise their own cattle, which is a plus point!). Order the beef and ostrich steak, both are AMAZING! All other aspects of the resort like the room, pool, toilet, no problem. They were perfect! Will I come back? DEFINITELY YES! I will just avoid the rice and noodles, and focus more on their meat and seafood. And maybe stay there during weekdays to avoid peak hours.
Bought our stay in Deal Grocer. Thus 5 star for the value of money. Totally loved the ambiance, cleanliness and service in this hotel. We were greeted with fruity welcome drinks and in our room was free peanut kisses. Toiletries - forgot the brand but they were perfect as well. Breakfast was alright it's your usual hotel breakfast continental, filipino, etc... If you want to find peace, this is the perfect place. Wouldn't recommend it if first time in Bohol, you might wanna consider the location - but they offer shuttle services. Buuuut, you might not wanna leave the hotel hehe.
This is a perfect place to stay in bohol. I love it here i highly recommend this place for those people who are seeking a peaceful and quite place. this place has a great view with great people and the room is very clean.
At first arrival, going uphill you never think you end up in such a place that looks like something out of an old movie. The entrance reminds you of one of those big town houses in Europe with a big water fountain in the front as you pull up your car in the drive way of small cut stones as well as it has a huge garden wth swings, trees, and yes..PEACOCK! The Peacock Garden has a huge infinity pool that lays uphill which allows you to take in the breathtaking view of Bohol oceans from way above. The rooms are designed to give an impression as if you are in your own house with front porch/balcony that has direct access to the garden and to the pool. The food at the restaurant is great! We stayed 2 days here and ate for lunch and dinner. I gained 4kgs in the 4-5 days i was in Philipines due to the amazing bread and butter combo as well as the meat dishes they had on the menu here! It was absolutely delicious. You have to lay down by the pool or in the garden at night and I can assure you the sky full of stars and the milky way is something that us city folks are not used to!
Three words to describe The Peacock Garden - favorite, incomparable and perfect! Everything here is made and done out of love and concern - from the way the room and food are prepared to the services rendered to the guests. I'm sooo in love with this place! It's my second time to stay here, first one was for business then this January with my family, for my daughter's first birthday getaway. Regardless of the nature of my trip, I'd be happy to go back every so often if I could despite a number of other options in Panglao (which I've already seen as part of my job). For this resort, I can forego my love for the beach and be contented with the infinity pool and view of the ocean and garden. I definitely could not ask for more as the resort's team has never failed to surprise us and attend to our needs, as if we're relatives. The Peacock Garden has definitely set very high standards as to how a resort / hotel should operate. I'll always be happy to recommend it to everyone.
Been here twice and both stays were two of my most wonderful and relaxing vacation ever. Place has a great view, quiet and away from establishments which is what I was looking for. Our room has a wonderful view of the sea and the pool, amazing rooms, amazing food and most of all, amazing staff. Like the best customer service ever. They cater to everything and you don't have to tell them twice or sometimes, you don't even have to tell them at all. They offered the tour of the entire place even tho it's just the two of us. They remember how you want a certain food / drink to be done so no need to repeat on the next meal if you are getting the same stuff. The Bar/Karaoke place was reserved for just us. They allowed us to use it with a Dj and even with our own butler. The receptionists are very accommodating, from the room design to the car we wanted to rent, the places we can go to, they offered to do so with a big smile on their faces. If you want a relaxing vacation / staycation in bohol, this is the place for you. Thank you to Peacock Garden, see you again in a few months. :)
