It was realy great we had really good time Salmakis is best recommend to everyone about location close to everywhere animation team is the best we kl deffinlty come back Thank u salmakis hop e to see u again
The hotel location was superb. The staff were nice and the gym was great. The internet was the worst internet i have seen in my life. The system kept on throwing me out and logging in was a big hassle that is if it worked. Also the hotel management is cheep. I paid for two room for seven nights and they charged for pepsi and water .... i have never met a cheaper hotel. I am very disappointed and would never go to this hotel again as the experience was very bad.
We chose the Salmakis Resort for our 7-night break in early July after combing through many and varied reviews of hotels in the Bodrum area. All-inclusive was a requirement, so all comments regarding the food, service and cleanliness were taken into consideration, and it was after digesting all of the details from many hotels reviews that we settled on the Salmakis. And are we glad we did!! From the moment we arrived, we were taken with the hotel. Ottoman in style, and like a cross between a castle and a grand palace, the design and décor instantly made us feel like we were in another world. The welcome we received from the reception staff was warm and friendly, and within minutes we already felt like part of the Salmakis family! As per previous reviews, there are a lot of corridors, lifts and stairs, as the hotel is built on a hillside, but the way the place is designed means that every single nook and cranny holds some interest. It is perfectly possible to simply go for a walk around the hotel for something to do; with the mix of seating areas, spectacular views, corridors inside and outside, it really is stunning. Arriving at our sea view room, the first thing that struck us was the cleanliness of the room, the layout also being very conducive to rest and relaxation. Opening the doors onto the balcony, we were then confronted with a beautiful panorama, looking out over the small bay of Bardakçı and beyond. The facilities at the hotel are second to none. Lifts enable easy travel between most of the levels for those with pushchairs/wheelchairs etc. The only levels not accessible by lift are the beach bar and lawn level and then the beach itself, for which steps are used. This may not be suitable for those with more restrictive mobility challenges, but is fine for pushchairs etc. as the hotel staff are always ready and willing to assist. There is a 24 hour bar in the reception area, adjacent to which is an à la carte restaurant, both offering stunning, elevated views over the rest of the hotel and the bay. Access to Bodrum town is very easy - a two minute walk along the beach path, past the neighbouring Voyage Hotel, leads you to a small jetty, from which regular small boats run to and from Bodrum marina. The boat ride itself takes about 8 minutes and is very reasonably priced. Certainly, it's a much quicker and more pleasant way of travelling to Bodrum than going all the way up to reception for a taxi! Important for all-inclusive success is the food and, at the Salmakis, there is an extensive choice of food in both the main restaurant and the beach bar. Mostly Turkish in style, we found everything to be beautifully cooked and well-seasoned. Yes, there were a few items which varied little from day-to-day (for example, there was always pasta or rice or fries available) but there was still plenty of choice. Our advice - try everything, even if you don't recognise it. There are no nasty surprises in terms of ingredients and you will me amazed at how tasty some of the more traditional food is! In the outdoor area of the main restaurant, there is another kitchen where chefs will prepare food to order (omelettes, fried eggs and other things for breakfast, specials at lunchtime and dinnertime), and there is always fresh pide and lahmacun available. The draft beer is Tuborg which was excellent and more than adequate as an all-inclusive lager. The Turkish wines we sampled were very nice as well and the rakı and gin that I took snifters of were also perfectly acceptable. Service throughout our holiday was exemplary; from the waiters in the dining areas (look out for the ever cheerful Hassan!), to the reception staff (special thanks to Emit and Ipek!), the customer service representatives who were on hand to assist with any special queries, the pool attendants, the photographer and shop manager. One of the bonuses for us was that there were no noisy groups of drunks, no lager louts, no intimidating or bad behaviour, no arguments or any signs of animosity - in short, the Salmakis offered exactly what we had been looking for - peace and tranquility, in clean and comfortable surroundings, with as much delicious food as we could ever wish for!! We will definitely be returning, in fact in September!!
We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and love it . This year I have been unable to book as the tour operators we book through are not including in their availability . I even rang Thomas cook, jet 2 and Monarch to ask and none features Salmakis . Can anyone tell me how we can book to stay there . We fly from Manchester .
We stayed at this hotel for the 1st two days we were in Bodrum before moving next door to the Azka Hotel. The location is great but it is so LOUD. There is music playing really loud all over the hotel. The 'entertainment' is crappy lounge acts or 'club' music. Rooms were ok but the lower end rooms look nothing like those in the photos. Our final night at the hotel we returned via the walk way along the beach and were cutting through the bar/entertainment area to go get our luggage from reception. As we were walking through the bar a waiter came up and started harassing us since he had already taken our wristbands off. I even showed him the reservation via expedia on our phone but he would not let us through. We had to go all the way AROUND the hotels which took like 20min just to pick our stuff up from the storage area. In general the staff were really rude. Perhaps because we are in our early-30s and don't 'flash' money around. I would recommend the hotel nextdoor though as it is much quiter and had access to the same amenities/location.
It was my first time There. I was impressed with overarching architecture of the hotel. Great view attentive staff and a cyristal clear sea. Above standards and servise/price ratio is very good. Even suitable for families with children. 5 min to Bodrum Marina.
Verry charming, clean and nice hotel on a perfect location. Nice view from poolsite and beach. A bit too much noize and chaos during diner. Staff in restaurant and poolbar should be a bit more professional. Tables have to be cleaner in a shorter time for new guest.
Coming from London, I stayed for 10 days with my family & I absolutely loved staying at Salmakis. I definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Bodrum. Not only is it astatically pleasing but its located next to pretty much everything and most importantly the hotel staff and guests are all one big family and treat you as like that as well. I was in the hotel when the 6.7 earthquake happened and Askin and the rest of the staff wouldn't leave till he calmed everyone down, highly appreciated! I loved the bar/restaurant staff they're such great company during the day & night, Emrah makes great cocktails, so sad I couldn't say goodbye to them!! The entertainment team always has something different planned after dinner and they try to include everyone at the best clubs in Bodrum. It's got a great atmosphere for families and friends & the guests staying are also great company! I was introduced to some amazing people during my stay thanks to the entertainment team even though I was only 19 I wasn't treated as a child even though the age difference in the groups was 5-15 years and I'm very thankful to have that happen! -Grace

Firstly, I would like to thank all these people that have taken their time to write a review. Based on these reviews, I made a decision to visit Salmakis Hotel. I have visited Turkey before, but this hotel has got everything. The hotel views are just amazing, photos on their website don't do justice, it is even better. Very very clean everywhere you went (rooms, pool, beach, gardens and lobby a very relaxing place). Food is just delicious, well done and thank you to all the chefs at Salmakis. There is food for everyone. I have a 17 years old and a 12 years old, they just loved it. A huge thank you to the all staff of Salmakis hotel. OMG how wonderful are they? Very hard working, they will always look after you with a huge smile on their face. Thank you to all of you! This hotel is for families, but also for couples and young people. The atmosphere is just great, you will never get bored. You can visit Bodrum by boat taxi, it is only 8 minutes way and it costs 7 lira. Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful holiday to remember! We will definitely return, cannot wait to come back!
