I visited this resort May 2016 with my 19 year old son . We loved it. It was clean , the pool area immaculate and right on the beach. The beach was lovely and clean and the sea was calm, clear and shallow. You could walk out 100yds and still be with in your depth and I'm only 5ft 2 !! There was a lot of stray dogs and cats...but they are all really well behaved and I'm an animal lover so it made my holiday more pleasant . Just the odd pat on the head and bit of chicken smuggled from the buffet and you have friends for life! This hotel would be perfect for anyone with mobility problems . I normally have my mum with me so I'm always on the look out for ideal flat places. It's 5 mins from reception where you walk in to the sea!! The food was always good and plentiful. Didn't think the poolside snacks were the best but we never really felt hungry after an adequate lunch . Coffee and pastries was lovely at 5pm to take to the beach and watch all the hardened sun worshippers manoeuvre there beds to make the most of the last rays. We weren't bothered about nightlife and the noise didn't bother us. A few gin and tonics and bed for 11pm! Yes if you really strain and listen out for it you can hear the thump thump of distance discos but who cares... not me !! We got this all inclusive holiday for a steal of jet2 ... £240 with transfers and it was worth every God darn penny plus some !! We had people from other hotels along the beach sneaking in here because it was so much better! Book you won't be disappointed! We went on boat trip ... it was ok ! We went to Turgetries market but it was a stormy day and we didn't stay long. Be prepared to barter. The Turkish kebabs are the best in the world !!!
Reception area very dark on arrival. Friend initially had room next to street and music from bars very loud, even though hardly anyone there! Once moved, all fine. Mosquitos pesky at thus time of year too. Hotel layout large, centrepiece pool looked marvellous, however 6ft plus all round. Some shelving easing acess, but in wrong area, adjacent to outside seating for restaurant. The steps were both shaky, attachment and rails, therefore a pool to view only!! Lots of warning re depth, no real facility for child swim. I would be very worried as parent, concerning depth. The hotel has a beach, not cleaned properly every day, like others nearby. Swimming there is fine and safe. Entertainment minimal and not advertised properly. Open bar not very tidy, all inclusive drinks on offer pretty dire. Snack area poor quality food, however restaurant food very good every day and good choice and quality. Local facilities and transport good. Recommend bite nearby even though pebbly access to water, quieter, very civilised. Matting has been introduced to enter water. Bodrun nice too.
Lovely hotel , food lovely , end of season so very quiet , the music across the road very loud until 4am , but no one in the bars !! The pool looks lovely put can not stand up in the pool too deep , I am 5ft 2 ins and could not stand in pool , small kids pool that's ok ... The bar close at 11pm , I think it should stay open until midnight ... Only twice the hotel had intertement in one week ,, the staff were lovely ..would not go back ... But still had a great time with friends and the weather was beautiful ...
went to this hotel our 2nd year running absolutely love the magnific hotel the staff are all friendly and very helpful food is of great variety and catered for all the rooms are lovely and spacious and very clean some rooms can be noisy due to bars outside but this is noted when booking hotel I have stayed in a few hotels I turkey and this is differently one of the best some furniture needs replacing and am sure it will be next season csnt wait to go back next year xx
This hotel came recommended never come towards end of season as there is nothink to do not impressed with the food or drinks not wort 5 stars as it is rated.staff seem friendly enough make sure you get a room my pool not by reception as you can here music from what few bars àre open.we have finshed week 1 now on start of week 2 hotel is near empty we have found few nice places to eat such as divers Alfie moons and rocks place leasow learnt don't leave it this late in the season if expecting more
1st night arrived around 11ish no food, room very very noisy, no hot water, basin leaked and hard bed, asked to change but took 2 days but to a lower standard room until my daughter complained and I was moved to a similar room as original, slightly less noisy but at least hot water. Sadly air conditioning not working but asked for blanket instead of quilt, mattress softer too. Mosquitos are everywhere, got bitten quite badly which is unusual for me as I have stayed in Gumbet a number of times and within a stones throw of this hotel. Room towels changed daily but alas beach towels not once and floor not swept properly either I dropped the soap under the basin but couldn't reach, it took the maid 3 days before she kindly replaced it. Food not really catering for the British, I know you all think " hey you're on holiday, do as the Romans" but there is a limit to how many forms of bread, salad and reconstituted ham you want to try. I probably would not have starved but most days it really was not that appealing and never ever hot. Drinks at the bar sometimes took ages and then finished at 11pm every evening, I mean closed!!! It is supposedly a 4* hotel!! You get charged for a safe, 2 small bottles of water in your fridge never to be replenished, a kettle???? No cups let alone coffee or tea. Beach towels that are smaller than my hand towels at home. No where to sit comfortably on site except some very broken sofas and chairs in the bar area. Coffee and cake served great choice (chocolate and plain) on hard wooden chairs for 1 hour a day, and ice cream at 8pm at night WHY??? When you have every desert under the sun in the dining room. Staff incredibly prompt with closing things down but not always keeping things topped up. The promise of a A'la carte meal, never had one as it never opened. The Soho steak bar did give you 20% discount but it was expensive in the first place and not great, he also stopped us from using the sun beds on the front when there was no one else there. (Bit of a cheek as its owned by the hotel) I'm really disappointed with The Magnific, when we used to come as a family about 10 years ago it was most probably the smartest and most popular hotel on the beach front and we were always quite envious of people staying there, so when for the first time in 5/6 years back in Gumbet my daughter suggested we come here I was up for it, most probably never will again, if this is rated 3rd best hotel then either I have very high expectations or others quite clearly don't. It is sadly the worst all-inclusive holiday I have ever spent in Turkey.
Been to this hotel in Aug 2016. When you first enter the lobby, you will only find benches and a sofa with no back support anywhere or cushions.A way to let you know that you can't stay in the lobby for more than 5min.I mean this should be a 4 star hotel. We got to our room which was nice and clean. The cleaning lady is very nice and meticulous. Every time you call room service, the guy tries to be funny just to ask for a tip over and over and over and never leaves without it even if he has to say it out loud.It never stops the whole vacation! Bath and beach towels are changed constantly but smelly. The wifi connection is very poor and non existent in lot of parts of the hotel. The beach was just too dirty and filthy during our whole vacation. The chairs on the bar area are old and broken, yes broken and you can even fall back Bartenders can be so rude with non turks but very nice to turks from what i saw.Seen it with many tourists. One night I asked for a glass of wine on the bar not aware of the time of course. The very very rude young bartender told me he will not serve me cause the bar closes at 11pm.He kept babbling and babbling for a whole minute (rudely of course) instead of serving a nice glass of wine for 3 sec!!! I looked to the clock and it was 11:01!!!!! If you are that thick headed you can at least be nice and say it gently. You can keep your cheap cheap glass of wine. Not sure how they are trained to deal with tourists or maybe not trained at all. The restaurant is nice and the whole service is excellent, especially Engin, however the food is very repetitive. One afternoon we were on the balcony, and my husband had his back on the fence when suddenly the fence fell out of its place.Luckily he held the wooden pole which prevented him from falling... it could've been our worst nightmare easily for the love of God!!!!! Despite of it's very good location,I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend it. It's surely not a 4*. It can be rated barely an outdated 3*.I've been to 3 stars that are much better.I recommend that you read carefully reviews before picking this hotel.I suppose that the all inclusive deal is on the expense of other services and amenities.
Great hotel in one of the most popular town of Gumbet. We stayed for a week and felt sorry we didn't book for longer. Great beach and great night clubs! Best place for party people! P.S. Special thanks to great Front Office team for taking care of us :) Will definitely come back!
They have amazing location, nice pool, nice beach, all water activities were view steps away! Waking distance from lots of the clubs in that street. all meals were included! Breakfast- lunch- coffee break - tea and cake afternoon- dinner! It was amazing. But I hope they put a little bit more effort in cleanliness and repairing the rooms! And at night I couldn't sleep before 2am because of the bars in front of our balcony!! It sounded like I was in the middle of the bar :) So make sure to check your room location. Over all very good deal for the price!!
Stayed here for 6 nights. We had no water or laundry bag and pricelist when we entered room. Then later was charged for 2 bottles of water which was complimentary. We asked for room service to bring towels twice and still no one had brought anything. The workers were telling us to hurry up and finish eating so they can clean, also started arguments over them getting wet by the pool and for us not to play in the water with a ball. The manager ziya bey had done nothing although we've complained to him numerous times. Nothing but 6 nights of horribal experience. WILL NEVER EVER BOOK HERE AGAIN!
