The hotel's location, beach and facilities are exceptionally well, a true lavish luxury. Staffs are professional and you get excellent service when the occupancy rate is not high, HOWEVER we had a very scary experience on our last day: My 5 yrs old son was swimming in the main pool where he started to scream that something is bitting him. Fortunately he managed to get off the pool quickly. There was a electricity on the pool, I am not sure if it was from the pool's lamps. wires or what.... The staff turned the whole electricity off, however no one from the management approached us to check on our son or to talk to us. One day after my son got a sore mouth because of that shock. I am Marriott's Platinum member and always stay in 5 star luxury hotels/resorts around the world, so I know the standard. Anyhow this issue was not even a matter of being in a luxury property or not, it could have been easily a life-threatening situation if the voltage was a bit higher!!!

Kempenski Barbados is the best hotel in Bodrum. It has best beach, very good quality breakfasts, rooms are clean and tidy. One tip, we used to go for dinners outside due to its variety. Best restaurants are at Palmarina, Yali kavak, Nusret for meat, Sait for fish and Zuma for Japanese and fusion. Also we went to Bodrum Marina, the best restaurants are Sait and Yacht club.

This was my first stay at Kempinski Barbaros with the family. It was really good. The breakfast was perfect with a lot of varieties. The staff are really helpful and they are always smiling to their guests. The beach is more than amazing. The staff go around the guests to give them cold spray to spray it on body and they will go around to offer free watermelon. But there are certain things they need to improve: 1. Room service is really slow 2. Rooms are not luxurious as the rest of the hotel. 3. Since the hotel is far away, then they should have more than one restaurants operating at night. One restaurant only operating at night for a la carte, so the capacity on this restaurant will be high so you won't find reservation. Thus, the guest will be either forced for two options either they go for open buffet or order room service. 4. you might wait for the golf car to come pick you from the beach to the hotel. 5. The hotel should offer transportation to the new marina and to the mall.

I keep looking for those hotels that give you the impression that Comfort is easy, Beauty is around you all the time and Relaxation is not a choice. Here is an example of all of these combined. We (group of CEOs for many companies) had the best time. We did not have a single comment on the hotel. We enjoyed our daily exercise in the hotel gym overlooking the Barbaros bay while running on the trademil. We enjoyed the Moroccan bath (should not be missed) and the hotel spa which was one of the best I have seen. It is a bit far from down town but the concierge and limo service were excellent.

The resort is located in the serene quiet Barbaros bay. It's very private and beautiful. We stayed in one of the residence apartments, which are fully equipped with everything one would need. Cleanliness is superb. The food and drinks are pricey but of good quality. Service and personnel are wonderful. It was a true getaway for us: we disconnected from the real world, literally.

the hotel was great. The food and service excellent. special thanks to Saleh the bar chief who was great and very helpful. he made our stay more enjoyable, we will visit again for sure. the food was excellent in both the Asian and Italian restaurants. we will go back for sure. Our only problem was getting from the airport to the hotel. we had a car rental with no GPS and got lost. I suggest they put signs at the main round about and the road leading to the hotel.

My third time here and it's always a perfect stat. Excellent service, beautiful sea, amazing hotel and rooms. I think it's the only place where u can't find any cons. Because they simply do not exist. Great entertainment with live music, delicious sushi and Italian food. Will definitely come back! Thank you for keeping always such a high standard! Anastasia

We visited in early July 2017 (Family of 7 adults and 2 kids). Pros: -Nice, clean and relaxing beach & sea -Service at beach was good -Nice views from the breakfast and pool area -Kids club was okay. -Water sports are present, which was fun Cons: -Secluded Bay with nothing close -Long and expensive drives to any area in Bodrum (25 mins to bodrum city, 45 mins to palmarina, 50 mins to airport) -Routes to the city centre or palmarina pass through a forest which is completely dark at night. Bumpy ride due to worn out roads, you need at least 15 mins to reach the main road. -Expensive rides from hotel (65 euros). Hotel does nothing to make it easier to reach the city (shuttle bus etc) -Although we visited in July, the hotel was extremely empty with nearly no one on the pool. There were few people on the beach and in breakfast. -The hotel is completely dead after 11pm with absolutely no cafe open. No activity at night whatsover, such as live band. -Breakfast buffet was okay. We complained more than once regarding the egg station, omelette was not cooked enough. -Although staff are friendly, many don't speak English (Especially housekeeping). So we had to inform the reception about our requests, which were sometimes not taken into consideration (We informed them more than once to spray for insects, and they ignored our request) - Beach is far, you need to take the golf car to the beach. You can walk, but it is a long walk -Since we traveled as a family, and we all paid the same, rooms were different in size and different in balcony size. Some had fruit plates as complimentary gesture, some did not. Some of us were given free 15-min massage, and some did not. Conclusion: - I wouldnt visit again, and don't recommend it to anyone unless you're looking for an extremely quiet trip and if you don't plan to leave the hotel everyday. You're better off staying somewhere in Torba or Turkbuku, where there is easy access to a main road.

Perfect resort hidden gem in the outskirts of Bodrum , unreal hotel flawless views ,staff and food A must stay if visiting a true luxury expierince the staff were amazing the rooms clean and semi modern the grounds well kept and beautiful . Will definitely recommend this to anyone on a bigger budget !

It was our first visit to this hotel. We've visited hotel in May. The first positive imression we had mailing our questions to reservation office, concierge and especially to Guest relation manager Victoria. We had great and fast service not even coming to hotel yet! We've arrived at hotel at 11 in the morning and were checked-in withought waiting time. We've liked the hotel so much and appreciate the special atmosphere of great relax vacation in it. It's not traditional Turkey hotel with All incklusive system and a lot of people. This is the place for enjoy of every minute. Positive: - good room with great view and amenities - great breakfast with 4 type of fresh juice and omelette that made for you - spectacular views from territory - warm and big indoor pool - good sauna and steam room facilities - lifts to the both beach - great main pool with big dense umbrella and comfy loungers - good dinner with free water (with gas or withought), great meat options (on grill) - great service - brilliant cleaning and turn down service in room. Things to improve: - not comfy matrasses in room (you can ask for other) - both beach wasn't ready for using (after storm) - average Cesar salad in Lounge cafe near the main pool (but great soup) We definitely recommend this hotel to visit! it was one of the best hotel all over the world that we've visited! We will be back with a pleasure!
