The home itself is beautiful and in a great location, but overall this was one of the worst Vrbo experiences we’ve had.From the start, modifying our reservation (simply adjusting arrival by one day) took days of back-and-forth between the host and Vrbo, with no clear resolution.While we were offered early check-in, the stay felt very uncomfortable. The host was frequently present and insisted on daily visits for trash and to monitor equipment. We received multiple messages while out regarding items like paddleboards, which made us feel closely watched.There are several exterior cameras, and it was obvious they were actively monitored, as we were contacted shortly after using included equipment.Checkout required a full walkthrough with the host, including inspecting cabinets and turning on lights after we had fully packed and were ready to leave, which felt unnecessary and intrusive.There was also confusion on guest count. We were willing to pay the difference, but were initially asked to pay cash, then PayPal with a fee.Overall, the home is nice, but the experience felt overly monitored and not very welcoming. If you prefer privacy, this may not be a good fit.
