Owner was awesome , place was great . A lot of history , well maintained !! Food was awesome ! A quiet historic place with laid back owners , comfortable , accommodating place ! Would go back for sure !Love Leroy your dog !
The Inn is a historic building with all the charm of an 1800 century structure. A bar and restaurant are on the first floor. The service and food I would rate a 10 out of 10. You know the food is good when the local people come here to eat. I highly recommend Barncastle Inn
We spent 2 nights. The hotel is a beautiful, historic building built in 1830. Significant effort has been undertaken to honor the history of the building while modernizing the infrastructure. The only complaint I have is that the bed was uncomfortable and the bedding itself is dated. The hosts are very attentive and friendly. They also run a restaurant out of the hotel and although we didn’t eat there, the meals smelled wonderful!
It was fantastic a place to stay, Hannah and her two boys Isaac and Malicah were exceptional. Made you feel so welcome. Would go back again. Beautiful settings, great views and things to do.

We were going to Bar Harbor and it was very far from there.
We enjoyed our stay at Barncastle! Really changed our views of Bed and Breakfasts. Didn't realize that a place could be both quaint and gorgeous *and* have modernized amenities and be comfortable! We would love to come stay again. Lizzie was so kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay!
Great old building that has been lovingly restored. Property has a great pub and restaurant. The room was very comfortable and they really thought of everything you need in the room.
