The room was exactly as pictured! Great location, super clean and very cute! Love the use of the kitchen.

The Walnut Street Inn is very quaint and very cute. It is right across from the county courthouse...and in the middle of plenty of night-life activity. The room I stayed in "Walnut" was very spacious and had LOTS of windows. The Inn is upstairs above a store/restaurant and there is no elevator and no lobby. The parking is in the back alley which I did not know about until getting to the door of the Inn. Thankfully I drove around the block 3-4 times looking for the Inn so I was aware of the alley and the mural at the parking area. While not for everyone, this Inn was a nice change from the chains that I regularly stay at.

The location and rooms are great, right in the heart of Bloomington. The room itself is really great!

Keyless entry is a great touch. Also the full kitchen & supplies are helpful in need.

Location was amazing as far as being close to shops and restaurants. In good weather a decent hike into IU campus. I liked the ease of "check-in" and the actual room was terrific. Spacious bathroom and little kitchen area were nice. The only ding was that the futon was broken so couldn't use that as a bed. Relayed this info to management and got an apology. Response to the two emails I sent to management was timely.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location couldnt have been better although there was some noise that woke me in the am. Next time I would bring a fan. They did have earplugs and a white noise machine. This room was special because i get tired of paying for fitness rooms, pools and computers when i never have a need for them. Getting in was a breeze, facilities like a full kitchen and living area were awesome, and setting was wonderful.

This was a very nice property, in an excellent location. Beautifully stained wood floors and trim looked so nice with the exposed brick. The owners are very upfront with potential street noise, however this was not an issue when I visited. To be within walking distance of Kirkwood Avenue, shopping, bars, restaurants, and nightlife made my stay worry free. I stayed in the Walnut room and the price was very affordable.

Location was great, parking was confusing was not obvious

Very nice, in a building. It is also near a street. Nearby, there are business establishments. It has electricity. It has water supplies. There are several pillows provided. There are NO snakes!

Incredibly difficult to find, no one on site available to speak with. We could not make a change to our reservation even with a family emergency. Total run around when we tried calling the hotel and Orbitz.

This was perfect for myself and two kids. Walking distance to many food options and right on the square. Refrigerator in room, common area kitchen with many common items if needed with games there to use if desired. There are stairs that need to be climbed if that is a concern for you. Parking located in back is tight but certainly doable Great communication with management, clean rooms, great price, amazing value. Would use again in a heartbeat.

This is my second time staying at the Walnut Street Inn, and it did not disappoint. Located in downtown Bloomington, it is close to several delicious dining spots as well as shopping. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with pleasing extra touches including handcrafted soaps and unique teas. I’m certain I will stay here again!

We arrived after dark and thanks to reading other reviews knew the parking situation -- tight spaces in the back of the building. Our daughter got out of the car with a flashlight to find our spot. We got into the building no problem. The Maple room is huge -- a wonderful space. We were initially upset that there weren't sheets for the futon and an extra towel in the room since I had listed three adults when I booked. But we read the handbook and easily found what we needed down the hall. No issue with street noise. I rated hotel staff just OK because we haven't interfaced with a real person from reservation to check-in. The system they have in place works well. We will absolutely stay here again.

Thank you so much for this detailed review! We are so happy you enjoyed our unique style and really hope you come back soon. Next time try booking the Maple room, it’s furthest from the street so it’s a little quieter.
