This property has a lot of unrealized potential. Pros: The location is beautiful, right on the lake with a little beach as well as marina with boat rental on property. Staff were all friendly and helpful and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Pool, though not large, is pretty and has a covered/shady area and sunny area, and was open even with COVID (by reservation at half capacity). Mattress and bathroom had been refreshed, and mattress was good and comfortable. Cons: not much else has been refreshed or modernized. Rooms are very dark, no bedside outlets. Property generally felt dated and not super well maintained. Lounge chairs around pool are in rough shape. The food was terrible, and expensive ($7.00 for a child’s hot dog). Housekeeping was so so - the first few days our room was serviced, but only the bare minimum - empty trash, make bed (no new sheets), replace towels (bathroom not cleaned or even wiped down), then the last 3 days we couldn’t get it serviced at all, despite leaving out the “maid service requested” door hanger. Not what I would expect for the price. Marina shop said it sold bait, but never had any in stock and boat rental availability was nil on weekends (if you plan to rent a boat, make reservations WELL in advance). Overall, just not great value for money, instead relying on its unique lakeside location to keep people coming.

Loved the property, secluded area and the old interior design was awesome! Just feel more detail could have been given to the over all cleaning of the inside of the rooms and building. Over all would come back and stay.

food is very good and moderate price, hall windows need cleaned throughout hotel. overall a good value, a nice property

Nice that it's right by the marina if you have a boat and there's a little manmade beach. The pool is EXTREMELY small so you have to get there very early or you're out of luck.

Service iin patio lounge was slow an food sucked....

The location is great, right next to the marina and on the lake. The rooms are not worth the price though. Ours was $180 per night for a lake view, and the rooms are in need of re-modeling, and the mattress needs to be replaced. THe staff was very nice, but the common areas were in need of a re-model as well. The food at the bar for dinner was pretty good, but the breakfast buffet was no better than a typical free hotel buffet, but it was $10 per person.

Only stayed there one night so all ok. A bit noisy - I could hear the TV in the next room and people talking clearly.

While the location is lovely (on a lake) but far from IU Bloomington, and the amenities are just ok, I highly recommend NOT using this hotel because it is by far the worst managed hotel I have ever seen. Check in was awful - the young staff are so poorly trained it was painful, not to mention long and done incorrectly so I had to return to fix their errors. But the worst was that my room was not cleaned! And when I complained, I was told that because I booked through an outside marketer (which the HOTEL made the decision to market through, not me!) I had no recourse in terms of any kind of compensation for the complete lack of basic service. And the key didn't work on the door. And the promised free coffee was completely gone before the end of the time they promised. And it took over 15 minutes for the poorly trained staff to sell me a breakfast bar. It was a truly painful experience. The worst.

The check in time was delayed ? Need to hire more help , no one to help us . Baggage ,a nice man and lady helped us . Was beautiful ! Be wonderful when finished.

Although the resort is undergoing renovations, the room was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and updated. I hope they update the carpet as it looked old and dirty, but otherwise the bed and room were clean. It was a nice option since hotels closer to IU were all booked. The area was beautiful with rolling hills, woods and the lake. The food was very good and the bar was cute. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Staff very friendly, although I stayed two nights and my room wasn't cleaned/bed made/towels refreshed after the first night. I got back too late to bother calling the front desk. It's a bit of a drive from Bloomington, but I wish I had more time to enjoy the lake. It's a beautiful setting.

Great little resort and marina. Rooms are spacious, and the lake view is superb.
